The records have been arranged into twenty eight series (see introduction for details) and the finding aid has been separated into these series to make it easier to download from our website Part 3 contains a list of the papers of the second William Forbes of Callendar (1806-1855) from his majority in 1831, along with papers of his wife, Lady Louisa Charteris, and their children. Louisa’s papers include a series of inventories of household property compiled at the time of her marriage. The papers also include correspondence on patronage and constituency matters as William Forbes was MP for Stirlingshire, 1835-1837 and 1841-1855.
