WELCOME!

Who is ready for our 12th annual family reunion?

When we call DelFest a musical family, we mean it. This year isn’t any different from the first eleven DelFests, we just really wanted to draw attention to the fact that so many of these musicians are family to us.

I’ve known for almost 50 years. has played nine DelFests. The boys have toured a lot with Keller and Yonder Mountain. I’ve watched Sierra grow up. I’ve recorded a . I’ve known the Gibson boys for 20+ years. And on and on. These folks are our family, and we hope that DelFest feels like we are all sitting on the front porch jamming.

It doesn’t stop with the musicians.

All of you fans are also our family. The staff of DelFest are family. The people of Cumberland have become family. Every year we get to come together and celebrate with all of you. For us, it really is like going to a family reunion. All that’s missing is the potluck dinner, so you’ll have to settle for some amazing food from our vendors, many who have been with us from year one – making them also family.

So welcome to DelFest #12. We plan to have fun and hope you do too. Let’s treat each other like family (well, family that you like) and have a big ole time. We love you, we thank you, and we appreciate you.

Del (and the entire McCoury Family) May 2019

15. YOGA/MOVEMENT

Prepare yourself for another glorious day at DelFest by connecting your mind, body and spirit. All classes are held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and are open to all festival attendees. We are delighted to have musician Tom Kraemer from Yoga Live Music Experience return for his fourth year to accompany our beloved instructors, Sheray Efaw and Caroline Cooley, for Friday’s and Saturday’s classes. Classes will take place on the Yoga Lawn (by the house near DELuxe Camping, see map) unless otherwise noted. Rain or mud? Classes will be held in the DelFest Music Hall. Enter side of building across from DELuxe camping.

Blissful Flow: Friday-Sunday, 9-10:00am Sheray will guide you through a blissful flow of movement to wake up your tired body, followed by moments of stillness to rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit. This class will be the perfect combination of yin & yang to prepare you for dancing the night away! TK from Yoga Live Music Experience will be joining us to add to the yoga festival fun! All levels are welcome.

Funky Flow: Friday & Saturday, 10:15-11:15am Caroline will guide you through traditional yoga poses and throw in some fun and funky variations to challenge your balance, focus your breath, and ease the kinks in your festy body! This class will be just the right combination of strength and stretch.

Slow Mo Flow: Sunday, 10:15-11:15am On Sunday, Caroline will really slow things down to get deep into those tight and tired muscles from the weekend. She will guide you through a very meditative practice, moving nice and slow, and end with some nice long twists and restorative holds.

**NEW** RhythmetriX: Friday & Sunday, 3-4pm – adults only; Saturday, 3-4pm – kids only (Kidzone Lawn all days) RhythmetriX hosts one-of-a-kind group drumming classes in three different modes: fitness, rhythms, and meditation. The drums are big and custom made from oak wine barrels. You can engage your body and get a great workout while creating the beat that moves you, learn a series of traditional Japanese rhythms, as well as how to play them concurrently in groups, or, you can let your mind find stillness by engaging in deep, repetitive series of rhythms. From large, physically taxing movements, to small, fun, and mindful movements, RhythmetriX is a unique experience that combines music, movement, and mindfulness into an unforgettable experience! Come hear your favorite folk , and a few obscure ones, from that time in music history...the community, the songs, the stories...just as relevant today. RECYCLING

Clean Vibes will be making every effort to keep the campground and concert areas clean and safe throughout the weekend - but we need your help. Please use the bags you were given when you arrived to keep your camping area clean. Every vehicle received two bags: one is for trash (clear bag destined for landfill) and one is for ecyclingr (blue bag for empty cans and plastic bottles). All aluminum and plastic beverage containers can be recycled. Please tie your filled bags and pack out all glass recyclables this year. Carry your bags to the nearest dumpster or collection station. They are marked for trash or recycling. Please break down bulky items before discarding and set any cardboard boxes next to the trash barrels, not inside them.

Help sweep the concert field after the music! At the conclusion of each night’s shows, we will distribute recycling and garbage bags to sweep the concert grounds. Meet in front of the stage for the sweep.

Please help Clean Vibes cultivate cleanliness and ensure that as a community we reduce the size of the ecological footprint we leave behind this weekend.

We encourage you to stop by the KidZone early and register your kids with our wristbands. We will happily take your cell number and name in case you get temporarily separated. Registration allows us to meet your child and give them a familiar place and face to look for should they encounter this scenario. Please talk with your children about what to do in this unlikely event: who to ask for help, how to stay calm, and how to try to remember as much info about where we can find you. Our staff is friendly and helpful, and will assist in any way, at any time during the festival to get you safely reunited. MODEL TRAINS

DELFEST ARTISTS

Billy Strings THU Late Night / FRI 3:45PM Grandstand

Billy Strings plays hard and he lives hard, picking so fast and intensely that he’s known to break multiple strings per song, and basing the songs he writes on the hard lives he grew up around in the abandoned rural communities of America. He taps into a deep vein of psychedelia in Americana, referencing everything from the Dead to , and all underlaid by Billy’s undeniable virtuosity and his knowledge of the roots of American music. Billy’s front porch in East Nashville is constantly filled up with Nashville’s best roots musicians just picking up a storm.
