WM Power Products, Inc - Originally formed and incorporated in December 1985 as a 50/50 joint venture between Westinghouse and MELCO * MELCO (a Westinghouse licensee) continued to design and manufacture electrical equipment that Westinghouse discontinued MELCO bought out Westinghouse share in February 1989 " Became MEPPI, a wholly owned subsidiary of MELCO " However, MELCO continued to work through Westinghouse as an OEM for nuclear products in the USA and other Westinghouse nuclear power plants Changing US nuclear scene has changed commercial strategy of Mitsubishi nuclear companies (MHI & MELCO) Mitsubishi nuclear companies are entering the USA market independent of Westinghouse * Mitsubishi Nuclear Energy Systems, Inc (MNES) is wholly owned subsidiary of MHI * Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc (MEPPI) is wholly owned subsidiary of MELCO
