Executive Intelligence Review, Volume 16, Number 34, August 25 Is America still the land of "liberty and justice for all"? Or, are we heading into a totalitarian police state, like Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia? Read this book, and learn the truth about what happened to justice in the United States. U.S.A. vs. Lyndon LaRouche, et al. "I SHOULD GET A CIGAR ... " bragged the judge after railroading through the frameup and conviction of presidential candidate Lyndon LaRouche. Judge Albert V. Bryan was the judge who finally accomplished what a federal government "Get LaRouche" St rike Force had been attempting to do since 1983. That task force swung into motion using the resources of the FBI, CIA, IRS, and private agencies, at the instigation of Henry Kissinger, who bragged in the summer of 1984 that "we'll take care of LaRouche after the elections." The first federal case against LaRouche and his associates, held in Boston before Federal Judge Robert Keeton, backfired on the government. A mistrial was declared, and the jury said they would have acquitted everyone on allcharg es. But in Alexandria federal court, the "rocket docket" did the job. Judge Bryan hand-picked the jury in less than two hours, excluded all evidence of government harassment, and rushed the defense so rapidly that convictions were brought in on all counts in less than two months from the indictment. LaRouche was sent to jail for 15 years, on January 27, 1989, a political prisoner. The conviction and impris onment hav' provoked protests of outrage from around the world. In this book, you'll see why. 623 pages, illustrated with index: $10 suggested contribution Order from: Human Rights Fund, P.O. Box 535, Leesburg, VA 22075 Bulk rates available on request. FOREWORD: SETTLER'S REMORSE Floyd Abrams* INTRODUCTION Who can quarrel with the notion that settling civil cases is generally a good thing? Litigation is expensive, time-consuming, preoccupying, and often personally destructive. Our courts are overburdened and, in any event, imperfect decision-making entities. It may even be true that, more often than not, "the absolute result of a trial is not as high a quality of justice as is the freely negotiated, give a little, take a little settlement."' But not every case should be settled. Many are worthless. The settlement of others could too easily lead to a torrent of unwarranted litigation. Some- times, as Professor Owen Fiss has observed, parties "settle while leaving justice undone. 2 While few of the settlements I have been involved with can be so described,3 one has plagued me since I participated in negotiating it twenty-five years ago.

  • Operation Paperclip: US Harbored Nazi War Criminals After World War II
Operation Paperclip: US Harbored Nazi War Criminals after World War II By Global Research Theme: Crimes against Humanity, Global Research, November 14, 2010 Intelligence Radio Netherlands 14 November 2010 A large number of Nazi war criminals found a safe haven in the United States after World War II. US intelligence agencies, like the CIA, helped German scientists to the US to develop weapons according to The New York Times in a mission dubbed Operation Paperclip. The objective of the operation was partly to prevent Nazi scientists from falling into the hands of the Soviet forces. The Americans were particularly interested in scientists specialising in aerodynamics, rocketry, medicine, chemical weapons and chemical reactions. On Saturday, the newspaper has published an up to now secret 600-pagereport on the internet. The Justice Department had resisted releasing the report for four years. It was only when the newspaper threatened to take the matter to court that the document was made available to New York Times reporters. Radio Netherlands See below Operation Paperclip and NYT article. Operation Paperclip http://www.operationpaperclip.info/ Operation Paperclip was the codename under which the US intelligence and military services extricated scientists from Germany, during and after the final stages of World War II. The project was originally called Operation Overcast, and is sometimes also known as Project Paperclip. Of particular interest were scientists specialising in aerodynamics and rocketry (such as those involved in the V-1 and V-2 projects), chemical weapons, chemical reaction technology and medicine. These scientists and their families were secretly brought to the United States, without State Department review and approval; their service for Hitler’s Third Reich, NSDAP and SS memberships as well as the classification of many as war criminals or security threats also disqualified them from officially obtaining visas.
