The committee discussed the significant implications this is going to have on open road racing and not least the financial viability of this. DJ to contact Andy Abbott to see what his thoughts are for road race league. LC to contact Matt Gott from BC for advice. DJ had received correspondence from Paul Kilvington who had decided to step down as TT Secretary and organiser of the club TT Series. CLUB SECRETARY’S REPORT Hull Thursday RC continues to promote and encourage cycling in Hull and East Yorkshire. The Club has had a mixed year starting off with some bad crashes particularly Mike Kilgour who is making a good recovery. There have been good numbers racing in all cycling disciplines such as: Road Races (locally East Yorkshire Road Race League and Ennerdale Circuit Series), Open Time Trials, Cyclo-cross, Mountain Biking and Sportives. We have had a few members leaving their positions on the committee and we thank them greatly for all their commitment and hard work over the years. As a club we have successfully organised many cycle events Events run in 2019 include: ‘Jim’s training rides’ (Richard Guymer) Open TTT on the Hardriders course (Mike Kilgour) Keith Carter RR (Lee Coulson) The club TT series (Paul Kilvington) East Riding Road Race League (Andy Abbott) LVRC Vic Sutton Road Race (Neil Dean) Open 25 TTT Humberside Championship (Richard Guymer) Junior training series at Ennerdale Circuit Freewheel competition (Dave Millson) Paperchase (Doug Jaram) Geriatrics Club Rides President’s dinner (Mandy Dean) Christmas dinner feast (Mandy Dean) Road race events may become difficult to run on open roads this year with the insistence of the authorities to have marshals with a qualification. It is all a bit hazy at the moment so we will have to follow developments. Other activities include: Sunday club runs have become regular with two groups in the early part of the year (40mile and 60mile). Neil and Mandy have worked hard to organise and promote them. Richard has been leading the club runs in the later part of the year. It would be great to see more members coming along even if it is just for some of the ride Saturday morning training sessions organised by Doug Jaram Monthly e-Scene with current club information The club incentive scheme is continuing to encourage and assist HTRC riders represent the club in cycle races. This can be attributed to helping increase our numbers of active racers. The Club Rewards Scheme organised by Lee Coulson with assistance from Mandy Dean continues to reward club members who have assisted with organising and running club events. We have had good attendance throughout the year at committee meetings at Hull Baptist Church rooms.

  • Humbleton & Flinton Community Led Plan
Humbleton & Flinton Community Led Plan – 2019 Version What is a Community Led Plan? “A Community Led Plan is a tried and tested approach that helps local people to explore the needs of their area, set priorities and plan actions.” Community Led Planning has a number of important characteristics: • It is led, driven and resourced through grass roots action. • The people working on Community Led Plans are volunteers, usually a mix of parish councillors and local people. • It involves extensive community participation and engagement using techniques such as questionnaires, meetings, discussions and events. • It results in a credible Action Plan based on in-depth consultation. The Action Plan will set out how local problems and issues may be tackled. These will be a mix of activities which the community can undertake alone, coupled with actions which will need addressing in partnership with local authorities and/or other agencies. The aim of a Community Led Plan is to give every resident the opportunity to participate in, and contribute to, improving the social, economic, environmental and cultural well-being of their local area. It relies on people coming together locally, researching local needs and priorities and agreeing a range of different actions which help to improve their neighbourhood. Approximately 4,000 communities across England have already been involved in developing Community Led Plans since the late 1970s. These have allowed communities to take responsibility for making things happen locally, rather than waiting on others to do it for them. St Peter’s Church across village fields Contents: • About The Parish • Our History • The Consultation Process • The 2019 Update Process • Report Conclusions • Survey Results • Action Plan “Community-Led Planning (also known as Parish Planning) is a tried and tested process already completed by over 4000 parishes and communities nationwide.
