Ses œuvres s’articulent autour de volumes généreux comme symbole du féminin sacré. Ce sont des sculptures d’aluminium et de bois, des femmes-tiroirs qui s’élèvent sur la pointe des pieds pour contrer les lois de la gravité. Dernièrement diplômée en théologie et en psychologie de l’Université de Sherbrooke, ses études ont récemment ame- né l’artiste à s’intéresser à un autre médium artistique : le papier. La légèreté, le silence et la douceur qu’apporte le travail du papier la poussent dans une toute nouvelle direction : l’instal- lation éphémère. Le papier tourné se transforme en volumes qui s’apparentent aussi bien à la chrysalide qui veut éclore, au coquillage des fonds marins ou à un instrument à vent comme la trompette. Le matériau aérien, fluide et léger se module en configurations de formes répétitives et juxtapo- sées qui s’incarnent en sculptures, en dispositifs destinés à générer des phénomènes phy- siques ou psychiques sous la forme d’un signal, d’un insight. Alors que les œuvres se présentent dans des espaces où l’installation est confrontée à l’archi- tecture, le travail sculptural actuel de Nathalie Sanche s’élabore à partir du dedans, c’est l’intra monde qui l’interpelle. That my friends, is what we are working towards -- a place where the group we seek to "help," we listen to. We do not get offended when we are corrected by the group. We are the parents. We have a duty to listen because one day, our children may be the same people correcting others tomorrow.
