Andy Chambers of West Moor SC receives his LSA OBITUARY

Peter Devlin Tynemouth Working Men’s Social Club is sad to announce the death of former Club Secretary Peter Devlin. Peter was on the club’s Committee for over 50 years, 30 of those years as Secretary. He recently received the Gold Badge and Certificate for 50 years of service to his club, one of the first in the CIU movement to receive such a prestigious honour. Not only will he be missed by the club members but also by the Northumberland Branch, in particular the No.7 Division. NEWS IN BRIEF Englefield Club in Berkshire helps raise £20,000 for local hospice The Englefield Club in Berkshire was at the centre of a massive fundraising effort for the Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice charity in May. More than 400 people took part in a charity walk over 5km or 10km routes and then, once they reached the finish line, were able to enjoy a cream tea and drinks at the club. Through the combined efforts of the organisers, a massive £20,446.90 was Bobby George and a young fan at the Byers Glen Durrant brought along the BDO World andGreen Club event andChampionship trophy raised for the charity.
