Lucky Dog Racing League, along with track partners Charlotte Motor Speedway and Carolina Motorsports Park, is pleased to present the inaugural Carolina Endurance Cup (CEC), sponsored by HAWK Performance, as our amateur endurance racing league continues to expand its North American footprint. This three-event points championship will begin at the newly paved popular Carolina Motorsports Park (CMP) on May 22-23, 2021, on to bucket-list track Charlotte Motor Speedway for three days on the ROVAL under the lights on July 16-18, 2021, and return to CMP for the grand finale on August 21-22, 2021 where the Carolina Endurance Cup Champions will be crowned for all three racing classes! The CEC Points Structure is outlined in detail at the back of this document. Teams are not required to participate in all three events and may race at single events, but those teams that participate in all three races will be in contention for the Carolina Endurance Cup championship.

guidance regarding Parc Fermé (i.e., choosing to work on your car overnight vs. staying in position for Saturday’s restart) further explained in detail below.
Overnight Hours: Gate will be open all night to accommodate late arrivals; Lucky Dog has rented 24- hour security so in & out privileges are provided.
Parc Fermé Explained: Parc fermé, literally meaning "closed park" in French, is how Lucky Dog manages a two- day cumulative race. Pit lane will close 30 minutes before Friday’s “black-flag all” checkered flag at 9:30pm. If you're already in the pits/paddock, or need to pit after that point, you will start 15 minutes after the green flag on Saturday. When the race ends at 10:00pm Friday, teams still on-track will park their car on the front straight track wall adjacent to the track on pit lane…BUT NOT IN YOUR PIT/PADDOCK STALL. At this point, all cars are parc fermé and cannot be touched or worked on for any reason including tire temps/pressure, cleaning windows/mirrors/lights, cooling shirt system servicing, GoPro adjustments, etc….don’t even look at your car!
If you have chosen to Parc fermé, you cannot work on your car or fuel on Saturday until you have resumed racing and have taken at least one green flag lap, and then returned to your pit/paddock stall. If you have chosen to come into the pits/paddock on Friday night to work on your car, you will be able to start Saturday’s race after 15-minutes of green flag racing by your competitors.
If your car becomes disabled on track in the last 30 minutes of Friday’s race and you are towed in, you may work on the car overnight and rejoin with the rest of pit lane 15 minutes after green flag Saturday morning. If your car will not start Saturday morning on track, you will be towed in and can start racing 15 minutes after the green flag, provided you can fix it that fast.
