Методом сканирующей электронной микроскопии исследована ультраструктура поверхности спор 6 видов папоротников подрода Cystopteris (Cystopteris Bernh., Cystopteridaceae): C. almaatensis Kotukhov, C. altajensis Gureeva, C. dickieana R. Sim, C. fragilis (L.) Bernh., C. gureevae Stepanov, C. protrusa (Weatherby) Blasdell. На основании различий в скульптуре выделено 2 типа периспория: крупношиповатый (C. altajensis, C. gureevae C. fragilis, C. protrusa) и складчатый (C. almaatensis и C. dickieana). Крупношиповатый периспо- рий характеризуется высокими, более или менее равномерно расположенными крупными, 1,5–7,7 мкм выс., полыми внутри шипами конической формы, иногда с загнутыми верхушками. Складчатый периспорий пред- ставлен довольно широкими, короткими, извилистыми, 1,6–5,9 мкм выс., полыми внутри складками, густо покрытыми бородавочками. Размеры спор варьируют в пределах 21,1–61,3 × 21,1–45,1 мкм. Споры C. protrusa характеризуются минимальными размерами (38,3 ± 7,8 × 26,7 ± 7,8 мкм), но самыми длинными шипами (5,0 ± 0,8 мкм); максимальные размеры спор (52,1 ± 4,4 × 33,8 ± 3,4 мкм) и самые короткие шипы (3,8 ± 0,9 мкм) характерны для C. -

These grikes provide a distinct microclimate conferring a more stable temperature, higher relative humidity, lower light intensity and lower air speed than can be found in the regional climate. This stability of microclimate has resulted in an equally distinctive community of flora and fauna, adapted to a forest floor but found in an often otherwise barren landscape. This thesis documents the long-term study of the properties of the limestone pavement grike in order to identify the extent to which the microclimate may sustain its distinctive biodiversity, to provide recommendations for future research which may lead to more effective management. Over a five-year study, recordings of temperature, relative humidity, light intensity and samples of invertebrate biodiversity were collected from five limestone pavements situated in the Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria in Great Britain, and The Burren in the Republic of Ireland. -

Various ethnic communities residing in district Mansehra and its adjacent localities exhibits unique tradition, dialect and culture. They collect pteridophytes from the wild especially for medicinal purposes, general healthcare, food uses and to meet daily life requirements. An inventory survey was conducted in order to assess the traditional uses of pteridophytes by the local inhabitants of the study area. Ethno botanical information and Ornamental potential of the taxa of wild pteridophytes was documented through field trips during 2013-2014. First-hand Information and data was collected through structured questionnaire and in-depth interviews were conducted from the natives in the hilly regions. A univariate level of analysis of the collected data such as percentage and frequency distribution was performed. -

Checklist of Montana Vascular Plants
Checklist of Montana Vascular Plants June 1, 2011 By Scott Mincemoyer Montana Natural Heritage Program Helena, MT This checklist of Montana vascular plants is organized by Division, Class and Family. Species are listed alphabetically within this hierarchy. Synonyms, if any, are listed below each species and are slightly indented from the main species list. The list is generally composed of species which have been documented in the state and are vouchered by a specimen collection deposited at a recognized herbaria. Additionally, some species are included on the list based on their presence in the state being reported in published and unpublished botanical literature or through data submitted to MTNHP. The checklist is made possible by the contributions of numerous botanists, natural resource professionals and plant enthusiasts throughout Montana’s history. Recent work by Peter Lesica on a revised Flora of Montana (Lesica 2011) has been invaluable for compiling this checklist as has Lavin and Seibert’s “Grasses of Montana” (2011). Additionally, published volumes of the Flora of North America (FNA 1993+) have also proved very beneficial during this process. The taxonomy and nomenclature used in this checklist relies heavily on these previously mentioned resources, but does not strictly follow anyone of them. The Checklist of Montana Vascular Plants can be viewed or downloaded from the Montana Natural Heritage Program’s website at: http://mtnhp.org/plants/default.asp This publication will be updated periodically with more frequent revisions anticipated initially due to the need for further review of the taxonomy and nomenclature of particular taxonomic groups (e.g. Arabis s.l ., Crataegus , Physaria ) and the need to clarify the presence or absence in the state of some species. -

Twenty new plant species were discovered for the park and the status for two others was revised. We estimate that 72% to 81% of the “potential flora” (plant species known to occur in the park plus those expected to occur) is known from the park. This is a slight increase from the 71% – 79% previous estimated. Georeferenced locations of new and significant species are provided, as is a revised checklist of the vascular plants of Voyageurs National Park. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Northern Bioscience Page 1 October 2003 Potential Flora of Voyageurs National Park ________________________________________________________________________ Introduction Harris and Foster (2003) estimated the “potential flora” (plant species known to occur in the park plus those expected to occur) of Voyageurs National Park at 934 to 1045 species, of which 740 were satisfactory reported from the park. The National Park Service’s goal is to verify >90% of all plants expected to occur in the park area. In 2003, the Great Lakes Network Inventory and Monitoring Program funded fieldwork to increase the proportion of known species. Methods We checked fens, cliffs, prairie-like openings, shorelines and roadsides for plant species expected to occur in Voyageurs National Park based on Harris and Foster (2003). Fieldwork was completed June 23 – 25, July 22 – 24 and August 13 – 15 2003. A map of sampling locations is shown in Figure 1.
