SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR ELECTRICAL WORKS

I. ELECTRICAL CONTRACT LICENSE The Contractor should have valid contract license of appropriate grade issued by the Kerala State Electricity Licensing Authority. The responsibility of getting drawing approval and safety certificate from the Electrical Inspectorate rests on the contractor. All the fees to be paid to the Electrical Inspectorate and the cost of preparing drawing etc. have to be paid by the Contractor. II. MATERIAL APPROVAL Materials listed in the attached list of materials only are to be used for Electrification works. Prior written approval from the Exe. Engineer (Ele.) should be obtained for all materials before installation. Sample with complete technical data should be furnished. One copy of the same will be returned to the contractor with approval/rejection or commends. Samples of materials should be supplied if required. III. SHOP DRAWING Detailed and working drawing, showing route of cable and conduits, mounting height of wiring accessories, fixing details of all light fixtures, switch boards etc. and earthing arrangements should be submitted in triplicate. Work can be commenced only after getting approval of the same by the Executive Engineer (Electrical). IV. TESTING All tests required as per I.E. Rules should be carried out in the presence of Asst. Engineer (Ele.) to his satisfaction and the test results to be furnished in triplicate. Any defects noticed during the tests should be rectified promptly without any additional cost. V. AS BUILT DRAWINGS Three sets of ‘As Built drawing with completion report should be furnished on final completion of the work, incorporation all changes and modifications made during the course of execution.
