The Lady Red Hawks opened the week on Tuesday, Oc- tober 9, at Ottawa Hills, where they beat the Bengals by scores of 25-9, 25-12, and 25-12. Leading on the night with a double/double was Junior Middle Hitter Grace Pavelka, recording 11 kills and10 aces. The middle hitter also re- corded a team high 17 service points and 2 blocks. Grace Wilcox added 10 kills, 1 block and 2 digs, while Arianna Rau tallied 5 kills. Setter Michelle Brennen contributed 27 assists. Thursday, October 11, the Red Hawks hosted Forest Hills Central and lost 14-25, 16-25 and 11-25. CTA Float Bridges Eras and Wins 2nd Place Trophy Parent/Superintendent A group of Charger students and parents spent two days working on the Lego-themed float for the Red Flannel Fes- Town Hall Meeting tival Parade and took second place for their creativity and hard work. The motto they used for the design was “The Past is the Building Block of the Future.” “ Stacy Keuhs spearheaded the project and used her cre- THE FUTURE ativity to develop the float and theme to help promote CTA and what it stands for to the community. “Legos came out the same time that the Red Flannel Festival Parade started “STARTS and I thought it would be a great way to tie the two eras to- gether,” shared Keuhs. “Our school likes to keep things fun and interesting and it was a lot of fun to build and design!” Thank you to those who contributed to the float building, decorating and driving, walked in the parade and to the family friend who opened her home and garage to host the float-building - it was a true reflection of the CTA spirit!
