Wow!” from Vinous’ near-perfect score of 98, and echoing that sentiment with a whopping 95 from Wine Spectator. We think that even Santa, himself, would rank the Bettina at the top of his list, and lucky for you, our Sonoma elves have been working long and hard to be able to deliver such a marvelous gift to you or friends and family this Holiday season. The 2009 Bryant Family ‘Bettina’ Proprietary Red is an exquisite blend of Bordeaux varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, sourced from the absolute ‘best of the best’ Bryant estate vineyards. Lively aromas of redcurrant, spice, mint, violet, and savory herb begin to invigorate the senses as flavors of rich black and blue berries, black currant and roasted espresso dance on the palate. The Bettina will ‘wow’ you with its distinct streak of minerality which imparts a saline element onto the rich, plush mouthfeel leading to a vibrant and long finish that will leave you conscientiously anticipating the next sip. Tasting Notes VARIETAL The Bettina Bryant Proprietary Red Wine is a gorgeous blend of Bordeaux Red Blend varietals sourced from three of David Abreu's own exceptional estate ALCOHOL vineyards – Madrona, Thorevilos, and Lucia Howell Mountain. A blend of 14.00 Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, and made SIZE with the same attention to detail as Bryant, this wine is beautifully layered 750ml and complex. BLEND Red Blend The Story to Know Donald L. Bryant, Jr., is driven by the pursuit excellence and realizing the full potential of his extraordinary Pritchard Hill estate. Investing in his passion for wine, the St. Louis businessman acquired the 13-acre vineyard overlooking Lake Hennessey in the late 1980s and replanted it with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon using modern viticulture practices. The first vintage was released in 1992, and soon after Bryant Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon won critical acclaim and became internationally recognized as a world-class wine. Don Bryant’s goal is to celebrate the first-growth vineyard terroir while paying homage to the great winemaking traditions of Bordeaux. Perfect Pairings This powerhouse of a cab will pair perfectly with a bone in ribeye or porterhouse, drink with a double cut bone-in chop or rack of lamb. Ratings 98 Points- Vinous 97 Points- Wine Advocate 95 Points- Wine Spectator 93 Points- International Wine Cellar Reviews "The estate's 2009 Bettina offers up sweet red berries, freshly cut flowers, mint, spices and crushed rocks. The 2009 Bettina stands out for its bright, high-toned aromas and flavors, as well as its intense, saline minerality. Everything about the 2009 is in the right place. This is a flat-out great bottle of wine. In a word: Fabulous. Wow!" -Vinous "The 2009 Bettina Bryant is a striking wine graced with exquisite aromatics and beautifully delineated fruit. It is a bit darker, firmer and more inward than the Bryant Cabernet Sauvignon. Espresso, spices, black cherries, tobacco, leather and red berries are woven together beautifully in this fabulous Bordeaux-style blend. This is a drop-dead gorgeous wine. The only problem is that it might very well challenge the Bryant Cabernet! In 2009 the blend is 55.6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23.8% Cabernet Franc, 16.9% Merlot and 3.7% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2029."- Wine Advocate "Shares the plush texture and savory herb, spice and lavender notes of the Cabernet, presented in a tight mix of dried currant, mineral, crushed rock and tobacco flavors. Half Cabernet, half other Bordeaux varietals. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot."- WIne Spectator "Good deep red. Fresh aromas of redcurrant, violet, minerals, licorice, menthol and forest floor; more floral than the flagship cabernet. Rich and sweet in the mouth, with terrific blue and black berry intensity. Not quite as suave as the flagship bottling but vibrant and very long; the tannins are chewy and broad but a bit less polished. Still youthfully tight." International Wine Cellar .
