Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Windermere Air Cadets played host to the the Windermere Air Yarns at Knit visit Mountain Rescue Cadets at their Ambleside HQ recently. The 15 cadets were given a comprehensive and Natter insight into how the team conducts its rescues and operations. They were then given the opportunity to try out a stretcher and to attempt to lift some of the essential equipment the team take out and carry on a rescue. They were shown the operations room and were briefed on the training and operation of rescue dogs. The cadets obtained valuable information from the crew and all enjoyed the evening tremendously and thanked all the rescue team volunteers who gave up their valuable time to meet and brief them.
