But China remains one of the top investment hotspots in the world, despite ongoing trade and other disputes the country faces. While it is true that companies and countries are relocating or building up additional supply chains to lessen their dependence on China, it is also a fact that no other country has the industrial capacity, growing middle class and growth potential. The Chinese market attracts the most foreign direct investment and it well may do so for many years to come, given the large untapped markets in the central and western part of the country. Earlier this year, Premier Li Keqiang mentioned that there are 600 million Chinese citizens living with RMB 1,000 of monthly disposable income. While this may sounds surprising, it also shows the potential that Chinese inner regions have for the future. Investing in China and selling to the Chinese consumers is something that makes sense for companies from around the world. The development zones listed in this directory are here to support and help foreign investors to deal with the unique challenges in the Chinese market. “In China, for China” is a strategy that lets you tap the biggest consumer market in the world while limiting your exposure and reliance on a single country. Investment Zone Types 1. Cross-Border E-Commerce Pilot Zones (CBECPZ) - Designed to boost import and export business - Foster cross-border logistics, supply chains and financial payments - Zones are available in all provinces except Tibet 2. Free Trade Zones (FTZ): - Presenting as a testing ground for new reforms - Easing of restrictions on foreign currency exchange and foreign participation in China’s 111e-commerce sector - Implementing foreign investment negative list which provides an outline of the sectors in 111which foreign investment is restrained - Faster company registration process 3. Special Economic Zones (SEZ) - First type of economic zones established by the Central Government in 1978 - A series of preferential policies to attract foreign investors, such as autonomous 111operating rights, tax incentives etc. - Financing, commercial, and tourism facilities were also built to accommodate the coming 111foreign investors 4. Economic and Technological Development Zones (ETDZ) - Developing cutting-edge technologies and nurturing new and emerging industries. 111Relying or well-developed metropolitan areas, such as Tianjin and Shanghai - Focusing on international trade, areas adjacent to deep-water ports and with well- 111developed communication and transportation infrastructure, such as Dalian and Ningbo - Utilizing local endowments, further divided into resource-rich, agricultural and tourism 111zones - Related industries can grow locally in so-called incubators - Often located as subzones within larger state-level Development Zones and may 111therefore be subsidized by local or state-level bureaus due to their strategic importance 4 Development Zone Directory 2020 / 2021 5. High and New Technology Industrial Development Zones (TIDZ) - Similar to ETDZs, but focusing on science and technology innovation through FDI - Supporting start-up companies and supporting research and development activities 6. Major Border Development Areas (MBDA) - Key pilot development and opening up zones - 72 national-level border ports - 28 border cities - 17 border economic cooperation zones - 1 cross-border economic cooperation zone 7. Bonded Areas (BA) - 15 national-level Bonded Areas - Including Bonded Logistics Parks, Bonded Port Areas, Comprehensive Bonded Zones and Bonded Warehouse Zones - Focusing on bonded warehouse, export-oriented processing and entrepot trade 8. Export Processing Zones (EPZ) - Exclusively used to manufacture, process and assemble export commodities - All or most of the products manufactured in these zones are for export purposes - Significant differences from FTZ are the size and scope, as part of larger development zones, EPZs are relatively small and allow only export-oriented companies the chance to invest 9. Logistics Parks (LP) - Developed in urban environments to facilitate the development and management of logistical services - Three categories: Regional Logistics Organization Parks, Commerce and Trade Logistics Parks and Transport Hub Logistics Parks 10. Comprehensive Development Zones (CDZ) - Covering a large area of a few hundred sq km and bolstering a variety of industries - Upon the completion of their development, these zones are transformed into new towns or urban areas, such as the West Area of Zhuhai and Suzhou Industrial Park. 111We hope that this directory can help you to make a decision to choose the best and most 111suitable zone for your investment. Our Chamber is happy to provide further support by sending 111you a list of consulting and research companies in our network. SwissCham Shanghai 5 Development Zone Directory 2020 / 2021 Shanghai Shanghai is one of the four direct-controlled municipalities of China and is one of the largest cities worldwide with a population of more than 24 million inhabitants. This study calculated the transmissibility of HFMD at county levels in Jiangsu Province, China, analyzed the differences of transmissibility and explored the reasons. Methods: We built susceptible-exposed-infectious-asymptomatic-removed (SEIAR) model for seasonal characteristics of HFMD, estimated effective reproduction number (Reff) by tting the incidence of HFMD in 97 counties of Jiangsu Province from 2015 to 2020, compared incidence rate and transmissibility in different counties by non -parametric test, rapid cluster analysis and rank-sum ratio.

  • Important Note
Important Note Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) is responsible for preparing the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Master Plan 2030 and commissioning the associated consultancies. At different stages of these consultancies, the consultants produced various documents for AAHK’s consideration, culminating in the production of final reports. Where a final report was not produced, the consultants’ work was consolidated into the HKIA Master Plan 2030 Technical Report. As the reports were produced at different times, they may contain outdated or inconsistent contents. The HKIA Master Plan 2030 was not drawn up solely on the basis of the various consultancies commissioned by AAHK, but also has incorporated input from relevant airport stakeholders as well as AAHK’s own input on the basis of its solid experience in airport operations. Hence, for any differences between the consultancy reports and the HKIA Master Plan 2030, the latter and the Technical Report should always be referred to. • Spatial and Temporal Evaluation of Ecological Footprint Intensity of Jiangsu Province at the County-Level Scale
International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health Article Spatial and Temporal Evaluation of Ecological Footprint Intensity of Jiangsu Province at the County-Level Scale Decun Wu 1 and Jinping Liu 2,* 1 School of Public Administration and Sociology, Jiangsu Normal University, Xuzhou 221116, China; [email protected] 2 School of Economics and Management, China University of Mining and Technology, Xuzhou 221116, China * Correspondence: [email protected] Received: 10 September 2020; Accepted: 23 October 2020; Published: 26 October 2020 Abstract: Due to the high ecological pressure that exists in the process of rapid economic development in Jiangsu Province, it is necessary to evaluate its ecological footprint intensity (EFI). This article focuses on ecological footprint intensity analysis at the county scale. We used county-level data to evaluate the spatial distributions and temporal trends of the ecological footprint intensity in Jiangsu’s counties from 1995 to 2015. The temporal trends of counties are divided into five types: linear declining type, N-shape type, inverted-N type, U-shape type and inverted-U shape type. It was discovered that the proportions of the carbon footprint intensity were maintained or increased in most counties. Exploratory spatial data analysis shows that there was a certain regularity of the EFI spatial distributions, i.e., a gradient decrease from north to south, and there was a decline in the spatial heterogeneity of EFI in Jiangsu’s counties over time. The global Moran’s index (Moran’s I) and local spatial association index (LISA) are used to analyze both the global and local spatial correlation of EFIs among counties of Jiangsu Province.
