NCI, formerly called Internet Access Financial Corporation, launched the NextCard VISA card in December 1997. The product, which NCI calls the First True Internet VISA, is marketed to consumers exclusively through its Web site, www.nextcard.com. The NextCard can be used for both online and offline purchases and offers several product and service enhancements specifically designed for the Internet-enabled consumer.
