DOUG • Central Missouri is third all-time in NCAA Division II men’s basketball with 1,719 wins. • The Mules have won two NCAA Men’s National Championships (1984 & 2014) and four National Championships KARLESKINT overall (1937 & 1938 NAIB). MULE FEED HEAD COACH • The 6-9 Mules are currently averaging 69.5 points per game shooting 44.5% (360-809) from the floor to rank ninth in SEVENTH SEASON the MIAA. • Four players, Cameron Hunter, Ja'Cor Nelson, Koray Gilbert and Gaven Pinkley, are currently averaging in double- figure scoring. THE KARLESKINT FILE • Four different Mules have led the UCM offense in their last four games. Last week, Hunter led the offense with 16 PERSONAL points in the Mules 70-64 victory over Missouri Southern while Gilbert led UCM with nine points in their loss to No. 3 Birthplace: Fort Scott, Kan. Northwest Missouri. Family: Wife, Kyla; sons, Jadin and Jackson • Cameron Hunter leads the Mules offense averaging 12.9 ppg. The senior guard also leads UCM in free-throws made (76), free-throw percentage (86.4%) and assists (49). Hunter's free-throw percentage ranks fourth in the MIAA while his EDUCATION 1.6 assist to turnover ration ranks third. College: Mid-America Nazarene, 2003; Northwest Missouri, 2007 • Ja'Cor Nelson leads the offense with 68 made field goals at 49.6% shooting to average1.9 1 ppg. Nelson also leads the (Master’s) Mules with 27 steals and is the second-best rebounded on the squad with 4.0 boards per game. • Gaven Pinkley leads the Mules at the boards with 4.7 rebounds per game while also averaging 10.9 ppg. Pinkley is COACHING EXPERIENCE currently shooting 42.4% (56-132) from the field and is tied with Jalen Blaize for the team-high 22 made threes. 2005-07 Northwest Missouri (graduate assistant) • Koray Gilbert is shooting 50.7% from the field and 40% from the three-point range to average 10.9 ppg. 2007-09 Stephen F. Austin (assistant coach) • Blaize leads the Mules from the three-point range with 22 three's on the season while averaging 9.5 ppg. 2009-10 Arkansas Tech (assistant coach) • Central Missouri's bigs Ante Sustic and Mohammed Abubakar lead the Mules from inside the paint. Sustic posts the 2010-14 Arkansas Tech (head coach) team-high 62.8% field goal percentage and averaged 4.9 ppg whileAbubakar is shooting 57.1% with 3.6 ppg. 2014-Pres . Central Missouri (head coach) • The Mules rank third in the league with 8.53 steals per game and fifth with a .740 team free-throw percentage. • Central Missouri has shot over 50% in four games this season, including a season-high 56% in their win over Pittsburg State earlier in the season. PITTSBURG STATE 2010-11 Arkansas Tech 24-6 13-1, 1st GSC • Central Missouri picked up their first win of the season against Pittsburg State on Nov. 24th. The Mules shot a season 2011-12 Arkansas Tech 26-6 13-3, 1st GAC 56% from the field and 62.5% from the three to defeat the Gorillas 88-80. 2012-13 Arkansas Tech 18-12 13-7, 1st GAC • Jalen Blaize led the Mules offense against PSU with a season-high 25 points. 2013-14 Arkansas Tech 21-10 15-4, 1st GAC • The Gorillas have one four of the last six meetings against UCM.
