2014-15: Saw limited action as a freshman...played in six contests averaging 5.8 minutes per game...scored eight points in those six games...Clark set all her single season marks in the game against Central Christian on November 25...she recorded six points, two three pointers made, three rebounds, three steals, 13 minutes played, and contributed four assists as the Lions set a new school record for assists in a single game with 33 in the 101-46 win.

Prior to Southern: Dru is a four-year starter at shooting guard at Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma ... Playing for coach Dustin Morrow, Clark was an All-Conference and All-State selection as a senior, while setting a school record for the most free-throw attempts in a season ... She averaged seven points per game as a freshman and Clark improved on that mark as a sophomore averaging 10 points per game while shooting 41% from field goal and three-point range ... As a junior,she improved upon that mark to 15 points per game while hitting 39% from the field and 30% from three-point range.

Personal: The daughter of Derek Fix, who wrestled at Oklahoma State, and Lona Clark-Shew, a heptathlete at Arkansas, Dru plans to major in kinesiology at Southern.

Prior to Southern: Chelsey played basketball for the Lady Wildcats for three years under Coach Lance Robbins and will play her senior season under Coach Grant Berendt. Under Robbins direction she earned first team All-COC and All-District honors her junior season. Henry was also selected as the MVP of the Neosho Holiday Tournament while being named to both the KURM basketball dream team and the Joplin Lady Eagle Classic All-Tournament team. Chelsey also set the Neosho High School record for most points in a season with 427 during her junior year. Chelsey also played volleyball and ran track for the Wildcats, earning Academic All-State in volleyball.

Prior to Southern: Buerge, a Webb City standout, was a three sport star for the Cardinals lettering in basetkball, softball, and track. In basketball, she earned first team All-District and second team All-COC during her sophomore season at WCHS and earned first team honors for both during her junior campaign while helping WCHS to a second place finish in MSHSAA Class 4 during her sophomore season. In Track & Field Buerge set the WCHS record in discus with a throw of 153’8 and in the shot put with a throw of 44’4”. Buerge earned All-State in both shot and discus her junior year, winning the MSHSAA Class 4 title in discus, and All-State in discus her sophomore season. She will join Coach Patty Vavraand the Lions Track & Field team for the outdoor season as well. On the softball diamond Buerge led the Cardinals to a second place state finish her junior season while earning first team All-COC, All-District, and All-State honors at shortstop.

Prior to Southern: Holcomb comes to the Lions from St. Louis Community College where she earned first team All-American honors her sophomore season. She was a first-team All-Conference and All-Region pick as a freshman, as well as a sophomore. A native of Denton, Texas, Holcomb finished second in the nation at the NJCAA D-II level with 25.2 points per game. Holcomb also was the first SLCC player to score 1,000 points as she finished with 1,088 for the Archers. During her two years with SLCC, Holcomb helped lead the Archers to a 40-15 record and two NJCAA Region XVI championship games.During her sophomore campaign Holcomb shot 45.5 percent (278-611) from the field and finished 16th in the nation in steals with 96. She also averaged 8.2 rebounds per contest, while shooting 71.8 percent (112-156) from the free throw line. Holcomb prepped at Billy Ryan High School where she was a 2011 graduate and played for coach Moesha Allen. Her sophomore season, Holcomb was an honorable mention All-Conference selection, while also being named Newcomer of the Year. She was a first-team All-District pick as a senior.

Kansas City, Mo. - Kansas City, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern women’s basketball team closed the game on a 31-19 run, but couldn’t complete the comeback as the Lions fell 70-64 today in the quarterfinals of the 2015 MIAA Basketball Tournament at Municipal Auditorium. Southern (20-7) was led offensively by Sharese Jones who picked up a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, on 4-8 shooting and 6-8 from the free throw line. Jordan Dinyer scored ten points, eight of which in the second half, converting two big three pointers and pulling down six boards. Central (21-8) had three score in double-figures, led by 23 points and nine rebounds from Revonnia Howard. A three from Shawnee Phillips tied the game at five with 15:11 to go in the first half, but Central went on a 6-0 run to lead 11-5 with 12:58 left. the lead was eight (20-12) after a three from the Jennies with 7:45 to go and it was eight again (24-16) at the 6:21 mark. Southern started to put a run together and the Lions got to within seven (29-22) before back-to-back three’s from Jolee Sharp and Nic Hartzog made the score 31-28 with 2:50 to go in the half. A jones free throw with 14 seconds left made the halftime score 37-31, Central. The Lions shot 33 percent from the field in the half and 79 percent from the free throw line. The Jennies started the second half on a 10-3 run and led 51-34 with 14:33 left in the game. Southern answered that with an 8-0 run of its own to get to within nine (51-42) and after the teams traded baskets, a pair of free throws from Hartzog with 8:33 left cut the lead to seven (55-48). A three from Jordan Dinyer with 7:28 to go made the score 59-51, while a block on the defensive end from Sharp and another three from Dinyer cut the UCM lead to four (66-62) with 2:26 left. A put back from Dinyer after an offensive rebound got Southern within two (66-64) with 44 seconds left, but a pair of free throws for the Jennies gave Central a four-point lead with 15.4 seconds on the clock. The Lions’ attempt was not good and Central hit two more free throws to put the game away. The Lions shot 35 percent from the field, 33 percent from long range and 81 percent from the free throw line. Southern had a 42-34 advantage in rebounds, but the Jennies out scored the Lions 42-20 in the paint.
