These courses are FREE to residents of Farmington, Unionville, Avon, Canton, Collinsville, Burlington and Harwinton. Registration is required for ALL courses. General Education Development (GED®) Math Jan 28 - Apr 29, 6-8:30PM, 12 sessions (M) Farmington High School - Rm 808 Language Arts/Social Studies/Science Jan 30 - Apr 24, 6–8:30PM, 12 sessions (W) Farmington High School - Rm 808 English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Learn to speak, read and write English with a focus on those skills needed in everyday life. Both day and evening courses will be offered at three levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Registration is required for all new and returning students. You will improve your life skills and can prepare to enter 5PM at Farmington High School a high school completion program. Room 805 Jan 28 - Apr 29, 6-8PM, 12 sessions (MW) Farmington High School - Rm 812 Bring ID (driver's license or passport) and proof of residence. Childcare is available for Citizenship evening courses. Prepares the applicant in the 3 areas of the naturalization process including both the application and documents, U. S. history and government, and reading and writing skills. There are three distinct pathways for adults to attain a Jan 28 - Apr 29, 6-8PM, 12 sessions (M) high school diploma outlined below: Farmington High School - Rm 811 General Educational Development (GED®): Adults who have not completed high school must demonstrate, through a 4-part computerized examination that includes a VOLUNTEERS writing sample, the attainment of academic skills and concepts Volunteers needed for ABE, ESOL, GED® and normally acquired through completion of a high school Citizenship courses! Earn credits through program of studies to expand the educational opportunities for independent study projects, community service, work adult learners in the areas of Basic Education, GED® Preparation, experience or vocational training. Teachers are content-area ESOL and U.S. Citizenship.
