When my husband and I were first married, every trip to the video store (remember those) would end in a fight. He wanted action; I wanted romance. Movies, I mean (although I suppose you could interpret that another way, accurately).

Eventually (after almost two decades of marriage), thankfully, we learned to compromise. So now, I watch baseball movies and baseball documentaries and baseball games with him, and he watches people find true love in romantic comedies with me.

And the rom coms on this list? Are perfect for your date night at home (unless it’s your turn to watch the History Channel or the BBQ competition). All of these love stories are currently streaming, and each one should be a hit with both of you (no matter what genre each of you likes best)!

Set It Up (Netflix) - Two assistants of demanding bosses conspire to set up their bosses—and end up falling for each other along the way. Stars Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell.

Sylvie’s Love (Amazon Prime) - A young woman working in her father’s Harlem record shop in the 50s meets a musician and falls in love. This one isn’t a comedy, but a beautiful, sweeping love story instead. Stars Tessa Thompson and Nnamdi Asomugha.

What If (Amazon Prime) - A young man and woman meet, connect, and become friends because she has a boyfriend. But are they something more…? Stars Zoe Kazan and Daniel Radcliffe. Rated PG-13 but does have partial nudity and language.
