250 S. Wacker Dr., Suite 800 Chicago, IL 60606 January 21, 2021 Introduction Molson Coors is looking to hire one 1L LCLD Scholar for a 2021 summer internship in our downtown Chicago office. Candidates should be highly motivated law students who are in their first year of law school, are committed to improving diversity in the legal profession, and are eager to learn and can work both independently and with our corporate attorneys, paralegals, and legal analysts. This summer legal internship will expose to you many aspects of our business, provide first-hand experience of how an in-house legal department operates, and allow you to put into practice the legal research, writing and analytical skills you’ve learned during your first year of law school. In-house practice is not geared toward writing lengthy research memos, but as a summer legal intern you will have plenty of opportunities to express your analysis and opinions in writing and further develop your research skills. Work assignments vary each year, but they typically include researching alcohol beverage, advertising, IP, sales & regulatory, and employment law issues, reviewing and revising contracts, and analyzing corporate and general liability issues. About Molson Coors Beverage Company Molson Coors has defined brewing greatness for more than two centuries. As one of the largest global brewers, Molson Coors works to deliver extraordinary brands that delight the world’s beer drinkers. From Coors Light, Coors Banquet, Miller Lite, and Molson Canadian, to Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Blue Moon Belgian White, and Hop Valley, Molson Coors offers a beer for every beer lover. Furthermore, as our recent name change to Molson Coors Beverage Company suggests, our company is rapidly innovating beyond beer to provide the perfect beverage for every consumer and every occasion, whether that is Vizzy Hard Seltzer with Antioxidant Vitamin C or one of our ever-expanding line of non-alcoholic beverages, such as Clearly Kombucha. The company is not only committed to producing extraordinary beverages, but also running a business focused on respect for its employees, communities, and drinkers, which means corporate responsibility and accountability right from the start. Our legal department confronts a wide variety of legal issues every day including advertising/marketing, trademark, litigation, corporate matters, M&A, employment, contracts, and regulatory. Our North American legal team is comprised of over 45 professionals throughout the United States and Canada. Our Chicago office currently has 12 attorneys all of whom can help supply legal interns with tremendous learning opportunities and extensive exposure to our business and the variety of legal subjects with which we regularly engage. Legal Internship Details The LCLD Scholar legal internship will take place at Molson Coors Chicago office located downtown in the Chicago Loop.
