IRISH FILM 2013 / PRODUCTION CATALOGUE

WWW.THISISIRISHFILM.IE / WWW.IRISHFILMBOARD.IE “Because Bord Scannán na hÉireann / Irish Film Board (BSÉ/IFB) was set up with a dual mandate to develop both a film industry in and creative Irish film making, the importance of the economic benefits of the industry can overshadow the importance of the work itself. Irish feature films, feature documentaries and animated features compete for the relatively limited screen time available in Irish cinemas with the best in the world. When given the right exposure Irish audiences respond very well to Irish films and increasingly the BSÉ/IFB is engaging with filmmakers and distributors to support and develop new ways for Irish films to find their audiences and for Irish audiences in turn to have access to Irish films.”
