I, Samuel Swartout, considering the un certainly of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory (bless be almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say: First: I give and devise to my beloved wife Parthena all my farm on which I now live and reside containing about eightyeight acres, be the same more or less, with the hereditaments and appurtences thereunto belonging, and the rents issues, and profitsfor and during her natural life provided she remains unmarried; and from and after the decease of my said wife or in case of her marriage, I give and bequeath my said farm to my oldest and only son John and to his heirs and assigns forever: and in case of the death of my son Johyn and his childredn I thne bequest that said farm go to my daughters harriet, Maria, Eliza, and Rosina. I also will and bequesth to my daughter Rosina a hone on the home farm and in the house while she shall remain single and unmarried, and lastly, I give and devise the residue and remainder of my real and personal estate of every name and nature whatsoever to my said son John and my daughters Harriet, marie, Elisa and Rosina, to be equally divided between them. I hereby appoint John P. Cline and John P. Swartwout executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
