2 1 Curriculum aligned programmes Curriculum aligned programmes afford teachers the opportunity to apply learning in a meaningful way during the school term. DURATION: Day programmes ON RESERVE: 3 hours AT SCHOOL: 1 hour or 30 min option Overnight programmes 3 days/2 nights Outdoor lessons are designed to include topics that are being dealt with in the classroom at school. Both theoretical and practical contexts are covered. Programmes can be tailored to suit specific needs and day programmes can be extended into overnight camps at certain venues.

56 2 General awareness programmes and environmental day celebrations General awareness programmes and environmental calendar days are celebrated throughout the year. These programmes are suited to all ages and programmes are adapted according to the need. General awareness programmes can also be aligned to the curriculum if required.

65 3 Holiday programmes Holiday programmes offer parents and schools a safe, educational environment for learners to spend their time outside of the school term. Programes are available to be held at libraries, schools or on reserve. Holiday programmes are fun, interactive and always include crafts and exploration. Currently all programmes are suited for age 8-12 years.

Day programmes usually coincide with environmental days and are appropriate for schools, corporates, adults, and learners alike. Programmes are always offered with an element of learning and can be done during the school day or outside of it. Examples include invasive alien clearing and beach clean-ups.

78 6 Overnight camps Kids in Nature, Outdoor Adventures All programmes below are for a duration of 3 days, 2 nights, starting at noon on day one and ending at noon on day 3.
