Agaraj Switching point Alaverdi-2 High voltage substations rehabilitation projects -2 -2 From 2001 up to 2014 220/110kV Vanadzor-2, Kamo, Alaverdi-2 and Gyumri- Kamo 2 substations have completely been rehabilitated with financial support from German KfW bank.

Agarak Switching point Alaverdi-2 High voltage substations rehabilitation projects Vanadzor-2 Gyumri-2 Vanadzor-1 • Out of 6 substations rehabilitations funded by IBRD, ADB and HVEN CJSC own means 220kV Haghtanaksubstation has been put into Charencavan-3 operation in 2019, 220kV Ashnak– 2021 Ashnak Kamo • Up to the end of this year 110kV Vanadzor-1 Haghtanak substations are planned to put into operation.

• 220kV Shinuhayr and 110kV -3 substations as well as Agarak Switching point are planned to be commissioned on 2023.

Ահար-2 Alaverdi-2 High voltage substations rehabilitation projects Vanadzor-2 • Rehabilitation works on 220kV Gyumri-2 Vanadzor-1 substation are commenced and the commissioning is foreseen on 2022.

Charencavan-3 Ashnak Kamo • Rehabilitation of 220kV Ararat-2 and Zovuni Haghtanak Zovuni substations are initiated with Shahumyan-2 Lichq Marash the financial support from IBRD. Commissioning is planned on 2024.

Ararat-2 Egheghnadzor • 220kV Egheghnadzor, Shahumyan-2 and Marash substations are planned to be rehabilitated in future. Shinuhayr

Agarak Switching point Expected results of high voltage substations rehabilitation

By rehabilitation of 220 kV “Eghegnadzor”, “Shahumyan” and “Marash” substations the whole modernization process will be finalized which will bring to:

• Increase of energy system reliability,

• Decrease of losses in energy system,

• Uninterrupted power supply to consumers. Alaverdi-2 Expected results of high voltage network rehabilitation

Vanadzor-2 • Increase of the reliability of power system Gyumri-2 Vanadzor-1 and the level of energy security and Ddmashen S\S independence,

Charencavan-3 • Decrease of losses in power system, Ashnak Kamo Shahumyan-2 Zovuni Haghtanak • Increase of power transmission capacity of Lichq Marash Iran-Armenia TL from 300 MW to 1000- 1200 MW,

Ararat-2 Egheghnadzor • Increase of power transmission capacity of Armenia-Georgia TL from 200 MW to 350 400 kV MW Noravan S\S Shinuhayr • Increase of integration with neighboring 220 kV countries andtransit possibility.
