The WHO Constitution (1946) envisages “…the highest attainable standard of health as a fundamental right of every human being.” How is this statement manifest in your day-to- day work? Can it be replicated to improve the Palestinian health system?

Can medical, technological and social collaboration in the health sector form the basis for building bridges of trust between Israelis and Palestinians to deal innovatively and creatively treatment with the conflict in an environment of mistrust, hatred and violence?

CULTIVATING RELATIONS WITH THE AUTHORITIES Dr. Raid Mansour – Project Rozana Regional Director Raid will share in the initiatives he has implemented with the Israeli and Palestinian authorities over the past year.

PROJECT ROZANA TELECLINIC AT ASSUTA ASHDOD Dr. Raid Mansour – Project Rozana Regional Director, Prof. Adi Leiba - Director of the Nephrology and Hypertension Institute and Dialysis Unit at Assuta Public Hospital in Ashdod Raid and Adi will share more about our project aimed at providing online secondary care as well as tertiary care to patients with NCDs from the Palestinian Authority.

PERITONEAL DIALYSIS AT AUGUSTA VICTORIA HOSPITAL Prof. Adi Leiba - Assuta Ashdod, Dr Nidal Saifi, Head of Nephrology, Augusta Victoria Hospital Adi and Dr. Nidal will present the results of the peritoneal dialysis project at Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem.

WHEELS OF HOPE Larry Lester – Humans Without Borders, Dr. Akram Amro – Green Land Society for Health Development Speakers will present the WoH program, which brings together approximately 30,000 Palestinians and 2,000 Israeli volunteers per year, transporting Palestinian patients for treatment in Israeli hospitals.

THE BINATIONAL SCHOOL OF PSYCHOTHERAPY (BSPT) Dr. Akram Amro – Green Land Society for Health Development, Francis Gharfe – Hadassah Medical Organization Akram and Francis will provide an update on the progress of participants in the BSPT – psychologists from East Jerusalem, West Bank, Gaza and Israel, whose work is caring for children and adolescents whose mental health is affected by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

HEBRON REHABILITATION HUB + CAPACITY BUILDING Dr. Akram Amro – Green Land Society for Health Development Akram will share Green Land’s plans to build a rehabilitation hospital in Hebron, accompanied by Project Rozana and Lowenstein Hospital, and will update us on a series of health training seminars, together with Israeli institutions.

WOMEN'S PRIMARY HEALTHCARE INITIATIVE Ronit Zimmer – Project Rozana, Dr. Akram Amro – Green Land Society for Health Development, Hiba Hidmi - scholarship recipient for nutrition studies at the Hebrew University

They will share details on this initiative, which is designed to train Palestinian community health mobilizers in primary healthcare for women and girls and create a healthcare continuum in Israeli and Palestinian medical institutions, as well as improve the health and empower women and girls in these communities.

NURSES’ MISSION Naela Hayek – Nurses in the Middle East Naela will share the history and the activities of Nurses in the Middle East and provide an overview on the series of seminars the organization will implement to improve the quality of life for patients in Israel and the Palestinian Authority, by enriching its network of nurses' knowledge and knowhow.
