Owned by: SCIRA Awarded to: The fleet of the winning skipper. Open to: 1. Skipper and crew must be SCIRA members in good standing with their fleet, country, and the Association, and sailing a Snipe registered to SCIRA for the current year. In case of chartered or loaned boat the skipper may use the sail number of his/her own boat and both boats shall be registered to SCIRA for the current year. 2. All skippers must be citizens, or bonafide residents for at least one year, of the country they represent and each must present credentials signed by his National Secretary attesting that he is the entrant. 3. The following formula shall be used. Registered Boats means number of properly registered boat owners submitted to the SCIRA office by each National Secretary on the dues paid members for that year. Information must include: name, address, fleet number and hull number to which the member has paid dues upon. Average Number of Registered Boats for the past 2 years Entries 1-5 1 6-15 2 16-30 3 31-50 4 51-100 5 101-200 6 201-300 7 300+ 8 4. Consultando il medagliere olimpico della vela, ● USA: 60 medaglie ● Brasile: 17 medaglie (di cui un oro a Rio 2016) ● Spagna: 19 medaglie ● Argentina: 10 medaglie (di cui un oro a Rio 2016) ● Norvegia: 32 medaglie ● Danimarca: 30 medaglie ● Svezia: 35 medaglie si può notare che lo Snipe conosce la maggiore diffusione in quasi tutti i Paesi velisticamente più forti. In USA lo Snipe è molto diffuso sia sui laghi che sulle coste, contando anche sulla presenza di due importanti costruttori. Molti forti velisti usano questa barca per allenarsi alternandola alle classi olimpiche: i campioni di Snipe che hanno vinto anche medaglie olimpiche o campionati del mondo di Star sono innumerevoli. In Brasile lo Snipe è addirittura definito “La barca a vela” per eccellenza.

    NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE INTERNATIONAL NACRA 17 CLASS ASSOCIATION In accordance with the International Nacra 17 Class Association Constitution, this Notice, dated October 20, 2020, gives greater than the required 28 days notice of the Annual General Meeting of the Class. The AGM will be held on November 18, 2020 at 2000 hours UTC (1500hrs New York time). The meeting shall be conducted virtually on the Zoom platform and only members of the World Council shall be entitled to vote. The weblink to the meeting is: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84147411441 Resolutions There are 3 Ordinary Resolutions and 4 Class Policy Resolutions. There are no Special Resolutions. Ordinary Resolutions and Class Policy resolutions require a simple majority to pass. The Special Resolutions deal with Class Rule Changes and, under the Class Constitution, a 2/3 majority is required to pass.
