ERASMUS PLUS KA1 YOUTH EXCHANGE TOLERANCE TO DIFFERENCE ‘’TOTOD’’ 5 -12 December 2016 HATAY TOLERANCE TO DIFFERENCE is that brings together in Hatay,Turkey 35 young people from 7 countries ( Spain,Lithaunia,Italy,Slovenya,Turkey,Serbia and Romania), During 8 days of activities, the participants will experience the theme of being toleranted to differences , workshops, seminar by expert from Mustafa Kemal Universty,Visiting Holy placeses of different believes, meeting and interwyu with Peder,İmams,Concerts by a Music Choirs,Flashmob and Movie Time SCOPE of the project: Our project aims at eliminating racism and prejudices, which is caused by the ethnic wars in the Middle East and the other regions of the world, by increasing religious, cultural, and ethnic tolerance among the societies of the world. In the last couple of years, only the conflicts and the wars in the Middle East region forced millions of people moving from their land to Turkey, and to the European Union Nations. The reason of our project is to prevent any levels of hatred, anxiety, and the doubtfulness this huge religiously, ethnically and culturally different mass of of people can cause among the homogenous societies where they are trying to settle now or will be settled soon. For our project, we will choose Hatay as a model place where people with different religious, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds have been living together at peace for hundreds of years. We want to show our attendants how religiously, culturally, and ethnically diverse people have been living safely and peacefully without causing a single problem to each other. We want to prove this to our attendants how these people have been living in the same apartment buildings with respecting each other, walking on the same streets where Churches and Mosques are located next to each other, and going to pray and doing religious ceremonies safely without hating and/or hiding from each other. Objectivies The project is funded by the European Commission through the program Erasmus +, KA1 Youth Mobilities, a program of non-formal education for young people.
