EXPERIENCE DANCE IN UNUSUAL PUBLIC SPACES!

INSITU is a unique two-day outdoor dance festival taking place at four public waterfront parks along the in LIC. It is an initiative that aims to strengthen, bridge and celebrate the diverse communities living along the Long Hunters Point South Park INSITUDANCEFESTIVAL.COM Island City waterfront by using dance as a tool for deeper community engagement. A New York Times Top Pick of “15 August 4+5 #insitudancefestival #insitu2018 @insitudancefestival Dance Festivals to See this Summer”, INSITU offers a fresh and exciting way to experience dance in unusual public Queensbridge Park @insitudancefest spaces. The 2018 festival presents 144 performances and 24 dance workshops by 22 NYC-based, national and 1-8 PM @insitudancefestival international choreographers. Setting up a chain of dynamic dance performances, INSITU invites audiences to discover LIC and its waterfront through dance. INSITU also offers two one-month community dance workshops LIC Waterfront “A Riverbank Awash in Movement” for seniors and young adults in partnership with Jacob A. Riis Settlement throughout the month of July.
