    Inverness Club Golf Course Mechanic/Equipment Manager History: Located in Toledo, Ohio the prestigious Inverness Club has cemented its place in professional golf history. With a rich history of hosting major tour events including the 1920, 1931, 1957 and 1979 U.S Opens as well as the 1986, 1993 PGA Championship and 2003 and 2011 U.S Senior Open the Inverness Club is highly dedicated to providing the most elite playing surfaces possible for the best players in the world. The club also has multiple upcoming events including the 2019 U.S Junior Amateur and the 2021 Solheim Cup. Originally designed in 1903 Inverness was purchased on a unique undulated plot of land, in 1916 the club hired Donald Ross to construct a championship caliber golf course. Recently the club hired Andrew Green to restore the course to its Donald Ross design. The restoration was completed in 2018. Job Description: The position entails maintaining and repairing all golf course equipment. Our current fleet includes mowers, tractors, sprayers, and utility vehicles from Toro, JD and Jacobsen. The maintenance facility was recently given a face-lift and completely reorganized. The shop area is fully furnished and heated with a hoist, lift, tools, new reel and bed knife grinders. Being in the Top 100 Program, we receive brand new Bernhard grinders every two years insuring we have the best in the business. In addition to the main shop, we have a parts room for controlled inventory and a mechanics office for record-keeping and ordering. The selected candidate will be required to work weekends during the growing season.

Gill Hanse supervised a renovation of the West Course and that work was completed in 2017. He had previously renovated the East Course. COURSE RATING AND SLOPE Based on the course setup for the championship, the Course Rating™ for Winged Foot Golf Club (West Course) is 76.9 and its Slope Rating® is 146.
