SIGNIFICANT OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

DRUG DEN DISMANTLED IN , ; Owner and Four Others Nabbed, Shabu Confiscated

Five listed drug personalities were arrested by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office XII – Cotabato Provincial Office under the direct supervision and control of Director Naravy Duquiatan, together with Kabacan Municipal Police Station and Cotabato Provincial Mobile Force Company in a Search Warrant operation on March 5, 2019, 5:35 in the afternoon at Purok Masagana, Brgy. , Kabacan, North Cotabato.

The suspects were identified as LERIO MAPANO y SALVADOR Alias UNTING (Target-listed), 47, married, farmer, TONY AGLUTAY y TEJADA Alias MARK (Watch-listed), 45, married, jobless, ELMER MATICYENG y ANTOLIN (Target-listed), 48, married, jobless, RICHARD MADRID y

TOLEDO, 35, married, businessman, all residents of Purok Masagana, Brgy. Poblacion, Kabacan, Cotabato, and DEXTER FERNANDEZ y SALES Alias BILAT (Target-listed), 51, married, jobless,

resident of Purok Bukang Liwayway, Brgy. Poblacion, Kabacan, Cotabato.

Mapano utilized his residence as a drug den and used farming as front to cover up his illegal drug business. Aglutay and Maticyeng worked for him as his den caretakers and runners of illegal drugs. Kabacan, Cotabato was their area of operation.

Confiscated during the operation were two (2) large sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be Methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu weighing more or less ten (10) grams with an estimated value of Php 68,000.00, three (3) aluminum foil strips, disposable lighter, airgun and cellular phones.

Appropriate cases for violation of Section 6 (Maintenance of a Den), Section 7 (Employees and Visitors of a Den), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 were filed against the suspects.

TARGET-LISTED PERSONALITY NABBED IN SHABU BUST

Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office XII under the direct supervision and control of Director Naravy Duquiatan and Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation at the vicinity of Field 103, Brgy. Cannery Site, Polomolok, on March 11, 2019 at 2:00 in the afternoon. The suspect identified as DANTE DEL PUERTO y SUCGANG, 38 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Malinawon, Norcos Subdivision, Brgy. Poblacion, Polomolok, South Cotabato, was arrested when he agreed to sell a sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu in exchange of Php 500.00 buy-bust money. Also confiscated from his possession were six sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 1.4 grams with an estimated value of Php 9,520.00.

Del Puerto is a provincial target-listed drug personality operating in Municipality of Polomolok, other nearby municipalities and in General Santos City.

Cases for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the suspect.

OPLAN HARABAS “Drug Test Muna Bago Pasada”

A total of 115 drivers were subjected to a surprise drug test as part of the implementation of OPLAN HARABAS: ‘Drug Test Muna Bago Pasada’ on March 29, 2019, 6:00 in the morning at General Santos City. PDEA Regional Office XII led by Director Naravy D Duquiatan spearheaded the activity together with Land Transportation Office (LTO) led by Dir. Macario D. Gonzaga, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) led by Col. Paterno Reynato R Padua, PA (Ret), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines led by General Manager Eduardo Cueto, Regional Mobile Force Battalion led by PCOL Barney Condes, General Santos City Police Office led by PCOL Oliver Enmodias and Joint Task Force Gensan Barracuda led by Col. Eduardo Gubat GSC (INF) PA. Three (3) sites were identified by the team for the conduct of the implementation. Two teams were stationed at van terminals along Bulaong Road, Dadiangas West, General Santos City wherein sixty-two (62) van and tricycle drivers submitted their urine specimen for the drug test. Another team was stationed at General Santos City Airport wherein fifty-three (53) taxi drivers were also subjected for drug test. Aside from the drug test, part of the implementation of Oplan Harabas was the distribution of IEC materials or PDEA Comics to drivers and passengers in the area, to further strengthen the demand reduction campaign. PDEA ROXII K9 Unit also conducted random inspection of vehicles and baggage at the sites.
