There are no drawing files for this Project. This Project is located within Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) qualifying neighborhoods of Districts III and IV, in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to, milling and leveling of existing asphalt pavement, thermoplastic pavement marking, sidewalk replacement, ADA access ramps, and other items quantified in the proposal pages of this contract. NOTE: Payment on this Contract will be made by Check. Licensing Requirements – Possession of a General Contractor’s License issued by the State of Florida is required for working within public rights-of-way. Contractor must have proper licensing prior to submitting bid and must submit evidence of same with bid. Pre-Bid Meeting/Site Visit - There will not be a pre-bid meeting or site visit for this Invitation to Bid. However, it will be the sole responsibility of the bidder to inspect the City's location(s) and become familiar with the scope of the City’s requirements and systems prior to submitting a proposal. No variation in price or conditions shall be permitted based upon a claim of ignorance. Submission of a proposal will be considered evidence that the proposer has familiarized himself with the nature and extent of the work, equipment, materials, and labor required. Bid Security: A certified check, cashier's check, bank officer's check or bid bond for FIVE percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, shall accompany each proposal. Bid Bonds: Bidders can submit bid bonds for projects four different ways: 1) BidSync allows bidders to submit bid bonds electronically directly through their system using Surety 2000. Metha1* and Suraj V. Gaikwad2 Abstract: In almost every construction project, delay is an inevitable yet controllable phenomenon. The Indian construction industry encounters an enormous amount of delays in projects. Delay affects both time and money in the forms of schedule and cost overruns, respectively. Due to impressive and dynamic growth in the Indian construction sector, planned efforts are essential to limit these undesirable delays. On account of the surge in the rate of residential building construction, the task of identification and analysis of the delays in residential projects in India has been attempted by the authors. A questionnaire survey was conducted involving 100 stakeholders. Further analysis included an Importance Index to rank the identified delays, Principle Component Analysis for advanced statistical analysis, and Correlation Analysis to check the extent of agreement amongst stakeholders. Conclusions drawn with reference to the analysed data eventually reflected finance-related issues, as well as labour related problems as the dominating causes of delays. The aim of the research is to provide insight to the construction stakeholders and researchers, on an international scale, with the obtained results. This research paper focused on the main reasons of delay and cost overruns. This research activity was exclusively assessed through questionnaire survey, interviews, field visits and discussion to the concerned authorities. A preplanned survey was conducted through a questionnaire for assessment and evaluation of the important factors those may effect construction delays and cost overruns. Approximately, twenty six numbers of factors were selected initially for the proper assessment of most critical factors. The respondents were selected from construction hub mainly client, contractor and consultant firms. At the same time, the opinion of general public and other stakeholders were also assessed while considering the indigenous trends. The results accomplished from survey revealed that the major causes of delays and cost overruns during construction projects are the escalation of the materials prices and discontinuity of funds. According to the group of contractors escalation of prices is the significant factor for delays. The consultants are blaming the poor supervision and mismanagement by contractors.

Following fruitful contributions made by the researchers, it is believed to be extremely important to summarize the existing studies in terms of being a road map for future studies and practitioners. In this context, not only does this study aim to detect the most significant authors, sources, organizations and countries contributing to the improvement of delay domain in the construction industry concerning delay analyses worldwide but also to provide the researchers with extensive insights concerning the prominent research themes, trends and gaps in the literature. Hence, 168 documents related to delay analyses from 1982 to 11 February 2021 were detected through the Scopus Database and the Web of Science Database, and scientometric analyses were conducted via VOSviewer software. By evaluating the related research, two main research areas were detected in this field, namely; improving the delay analysis methods and resolving the disputes before they occur.
