INTERNI offers the international Design community that meets in Milan during the FuoriSalone® the event GREEN ENERGY DESIGN, to focus on the creative processes of a series of Italian and international design talents, through projects characterized by a highly experimental, multimedia approach, capable of transmitting design culture and expression to the city as a whole, conveying a sense of the ferment of ideas and creativity found in the worlds of design and architecture, in the area of increasingly timely themes like the relationship between the environment and new design expressions. Sustainability, bio-construction, ecological architecture. There are many ways to describe what, at this point, is an obligatory path to follow in the world of construction and production of useful objects: the design of responsibility. The idea is to respond to a demand advanced by society: to live in more healthful buildings and less polluted cities, to develop an environmental policy of reuse and recycling of both objects and places, in a general process of protection of the territory. Needs that join the more pragmatic and alarming factors of the depletion of traditional energy supplies and the increasingly high costs of energy.

RESIDENTIALleaders where the heart is The first Residential Leaders survey takes us home We pride ourselves, here at Interior Design, not just on the broadest possible coverage of the design world but also on our ever deepening knowledge of specific sectors. Each year, we collect and curate data to form clear pictures of business trends for our top 100 Giants firms, the Rising Giants just behind, and the Giants in hospitality and health care. Now we are focusing on the firms working in the blooming residential sector. Over the course of several months, we carefully developed our questions for Interior Design’s first business survey of Residential Leaders. Then we sent them out with high hopes. We weren’t disappointed by the results. Nearly 200 firms— massive entities, individual practitioners, and everything in between—responded with detailed information about their business operations. Because of the diversity of the respondents, we chose to present our list alphabetically rather than by size or work vol- ume. The information we’ve collected serves as a terrific win- dow onto the residential landscape. Everybody loves a good view! We hope you find it as intriguing and enlightening as we have. However, as committed overachievers, we’re already thinking about how to expand and enhance the survey for 2016. A model apartment by If you don’t see your firm in these listings, please let us know. The Leadership of Studio Marco Piva is constituted by a Board of Directors which, in addition to the founder Marco Piva, includes: the co-founder Sarah Gabaglio, Head of the Style and Design Department; Armando Bruno, the Chief Executive Officer of SMP and Head of Educational; Fabio Basile, the General Manager; and Daniela Baldo, the Chief Operating Officer and responsible together with Marco Piva for Overseas operations. The firm is currently composed of a hundred collaborators, all extremely skilled in the various disciplines from Urban Design to Architecture, from Interiors to Product design. They are distributed between the main office in Milan, the second office in Shanghai and the many sites around the world. The opening of the Chinese office in 2019 has allowed SMP to be able to maintain a more stable presence in the vast Chinese territory, allowing for complex coordination of projects in several cities like Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu. Architects, engineers and interior designers, develop projects all over the world starting from research on socio- economic references and on available construction technologies. Projects start with research and ultimately achieve highly realistic graphic rendering, and then go from the building of the prototypes to simulations of efficiency: a breeding ground of creativity from which solutions that have a strong impact emerge.
