Located right next to Swindon's Designer Outlet, the Museum tells the story of the men and women who built, operated and travelled on the Great Western Railway. See famous locomotives, ‘drive’ the train simulator and even work the signals in the interactive GWR signal box! Trade Product Information and Experiences: Free Introductory Welcome Group Talk (10-15 minutes) – suitable for groups who wish to self-guide but would like to have a brief talk on the background and history of the museum at the start of their visit. Highlights Tour A one-hour tour of the Museum, focusing on the highlights of the STEAM collection. Learn about the history of Swindon Works and discover some of the stories of the workers. Tours are available for a minimum of 15 and maximum of 25 people, although for larger groups multiple tours can be arranged. Pre-booking essential.
