National School Lunch Program (NSLP) & School Breakfast Program (SBP) Vegetable Subgroups The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) meal patterns for the NSLP and SBP refer to five subgroups of vegetables that count toward the daily and weekly vegetable requirements.
