AXIAL ADVISOR 100 We set out to find thevery best middle market M&A advisory firms and investment banks in the USA for 2017. We did not want to create this list from deal tables or subjective criteria of our own. The currency we were interested in was referrals. We went looking for recommendations from the very people who have worked both alongside and across the negotiating table from countless advisors. We asked 1,000 private equity firms, strategic acquirers, and family offices to name the banks and advisors they trust and respect most when transacting in the middle market. In the end, 120 firms were put forward, some by many sources. The list includes bankers and advisors of all sizes and industry specializations. It covers firms headquartered in major cities, as well as those located off the beaten path. Because we cover the middle market, the list also includes firms with a diverse range of clientele. You will see some respected brokers who work with small businesses as well as high-end investment banks who work the upper end. These advisory firms are excellent at what they do. That’s not our word, but rather the words of dealmakers whose referrals have come together to form this inaugural list. axial.net 2017 .
