✓ Partners reported an upsurge of program admissions in their respective facilities. This is as a result of the drought, increased AWD in some areas and measles. An expected increase in admission will put pressure on the little supplies for the programs. ✓ With the cases of COVID-19, on the higher side in Kismayo, the nutrition partners are struggling with the lack of PPE’s in the facilities. ✓ Delivery of nutrition supplies to Elwak is a major challenge. This is mainly affecting the stabilization center in Elwake and despite securing funds to support the center there is no service going on. ✓ Somali Aid to close Sinia HC by August 2021. This will a challenge given that the health center was serving a large population ✓ Airlifting essential supplies to some of the remote districts in the region remains a major obstacle for timely delivery of medical and nutrition supplies (WVI-Bay) Achievement

✓ Most Nutrition partners have supplies to take them in the next 3 months to continue service delivery. ✓ HDC confirmed availability of stock to support MAM cases in Elwake despite supply delivery challenge to the town. ✓ Nutrition partners in provided lifesaving nutrition interventions including NFI’s for the new IDPs in Dolow. ✓ Some of the nutrition partners distributed home-made masks to program beneficiaries to fight with the pandemics and minimize risks associated with the disease. • OTP and IYCF interventions in district at ISHA and Barwaqo health facilities. IOM recently received 300 cartoons of Plumpy nuts from UNICEF hence, no longer having shortages of supplies as reported last month Upcoming Events
