FIRST RELEASES here under the E.M.I banner of America's are announced this month. There are both 'single' and LP releases - and they feature some of the most successful scene. Three of the first four LPs. for example. spotlight the considerable talents of such topflight recording artistes as Bobby Vee (due inthis country at the time of going to press for TV and concertdates). Gene McDaniels and The Ventures.

GENE EDDIE STAR-STUDDED men 4NIELS COCHRAN And the fourth l.1' It's a star-studded 'package' disc with tracks by Bobby Vee, The Crickets. Julie London. The Fleetwoods, Si Zentner, JohnnyBurnette, Eddie Cochran. Gene McDaniels, , David Seville, Troy Shondell and The Ventures. The 'singles' releases, too, are equally impressive. Gene McDaniels heads the first issues with "" and "" (LIB55405). Jan And Dean can be heard with "A Sunday Kind Of Love" and "Poor Little Puppet" (LIB55397) while newcomer Deane Hawley sings "Pocketful Of Rainbows" backed by"That Dream Could Never Be" (LIB55359). The Gene McDaniels LP is entitled "Sometimes I'm Happy-Sometimes I'm Blue" (LBYI003) and includes "", "Never Like This". "Love Me Tender" and "Autumn Leaves". Bobby Vee's album is named after his successful 'single', "Take Good Care Of My Baby" (LBY1004) and includes this title, his newest hit, "Run to Him". plus such numbers as "Raining In My Heart" and "Little Flame". And yet another LP is named after a hit single - The Ventures' "Walk - Don't DAVID JOHNNY Run" (LBY1002). This is. of course, among the titles. with "Morgen". "Raunchy". The basic motion of 'The Twist' is a hip swivel. Imagine you are holding an outstretched bath towel; get the towel going back and forth and you will have 'The Twist' hip motion. The Basic Step and Foot Position: Place right foot back, toe pointing to the right, weight transferred on to this foot and remaining there for the following eight beats Same as basic or movements. Commence Twist os follows: Keeping the knees towards each other, on movement but count of one, swivel right foot to the left, left hip turning to the left. On the count lowering of two. swivel right foot to the right, hip twisting to the right. Repeat this movement throughknees six more times, to complete basic figure.
