Thank you for respecting the hardwork of this author. About the Book Narendra Modi, the present Prime Minister of India, is a true blue RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or National Volunteers Organization) swayamsevak or volunteer. More importantly, he is a product of prachaarak system, a unique institution of RSS. More than his election campaigns, his conduct after becoming the Prime Minister really tells us how a responsible RSS worker and prachaarak responds to any responsibility he is entrusted with. His rise is also illustrative example of submission by author in this book that RSS has been able to design a system that can create ‘extraordinary achievers out of ordinary people’. When the first edition of Secrets of RSS was released, air was thick with motivated propaganda about ‘Saffron terror’ and RSS was the favourite whipping boy as the face of ‘Hindu fascism’. Now as the second edition is ready for release, environment has transformed radically.

We have to give back to the nation its lost individuality and raise the masses.” (In a letter written to Swami Ramakrishnananda on 19 March 1894) Swami Vivekananda’s mission for rejuvenation of Bharat began with the plan he had hit upon when he sat on “the last bit of Indian rock”. Now, thanks to the invaluable contribution from all of you, a beautiful memorial - to recall Swami Vivekananda beginning his mission for India - now stands on that last bit of rock. The Memorial, built by a truly national effort put together by the monumental work of Sri Eknath Ranade; the man behind the mighty work, was dedicated to the nation in September 1970. 3 As Swami Vivekananda had his inspiration from the rock, Eknath Ranade took inspiration from the memorial built on the rock to found the Vivekananda Kendra which has now grown into a mighty spiritually oriented service mission manned by thousands of karyakartas.

  • Address by the Hon'ble President of India Shri Ram
ADDRESS BY THE HON’BLE PRESIDENT OF INDIA SHRI RAM NATH KOVIND AT THE VIVEKANANDA KENDRA Kanyakumari, December 25/26, 2019 1. My greetings to all of you! I feel blessed here, as coming to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Vivekanand Kendra is a very special pilgrimage indeed. We have gathered at a place which continuously emits to us highly positive vibes. The Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Kendra are among those few spots which are naturally endowed with an ambience of extraordinary serenity. They bring the unquiet mind to rest and lead it to ponder perennial questions. 2. It was this spiritual power of the rock at the very feet of Bharat Mata which drew Swami Vivekananda to Kanyakumari in his quest for inner peace. On this day 127 years ago, in 1892, Swamiji began deep meditation on this sacred spot. In three days and three nights, a simple monk transformed himself into an enlightened being and a global messenger of Bharatiya Sanskriti. Swamiji attained enlightenment here and sparked a unique spiritual revolution. It was not for an individual‟s own salvation; it was for the rejuvenation of the spiritual values of the motherland and service of its people. More recently I have gone through the wonderful experience of watching a play on the life of Swami Vivekanand at Parliament and was mesmerised by his evolution as a “realised soul”. 3. In this context, let me recall a letter written by him on 19th March, 1894 in which Swamiji wrote about his plans. He envisioned selfless sannyasins going from village to village, educating people and working to improve their condition.
