U istraživanjima Ivezić i sur. (2002.) otkrivene su neke od nematoda roda Xiphinema u Hrvatskoj, a to su: Xiphinema diversicaudatum (Hvar), Xiphinema index (Vis, Biševo, Korčula, Hvar, Istra), Xiphinema italiae (Vis, Biševo, Korčula, Hvar, Istra), Xiphinema pachtaicum (Vis, Biševo, Korčula, Hvar, Istra, Slavonija i Baranja) i Xiphinema vuittenezi (Slavonija i Baranja). Cilj ovog istraživanja je utvrditi prisutnost nematoda vrste roda Xiphinema u vinogradima tri Hrvatske županije u Vukovarsko-srijemskoj, Osječko-baranjskoj i Istarskoj županiji u 2018. godini. 1 2. PREGLED LITERATURE 2.1. Slika 3. Glava i usni Slika 4. Srednji dio- Slika 5. Rep ustroj crijevo Foto: 4 Foto: Poturiček L. Foto: Poturiček L. Poturiček L. 2.1.2. Biologija i ekologija nematoda Nematode prolaze kroz sljedeće razvojne faze: jaje, ličinka i odrasli stadiji (imago). Najveći broj nematoda izlazi iz jajeta i slični odraslom

Hortorum Cultus, 14(3) 2015, 3-12 NEMATODES IN THE VINEYARDS IN THE NORTHWESTERN PART OF POLAND Andrzej Tomasz Skwiercz1, Magdalena Dzięgielewska2, Patrycja Szelągowska2 1University of Warmia-Mazury 2West Pomeranian University of Technology Abstract. The knowledge on nematodes occurrence in Polish vineyards is poor. The sur- veys of the species from the rhizosphere of plants were conducted between 2013 and 2014 in 12 vineyards in the northwestern part of Poland. Recovery of the nematodes was made in two steps. First, through incubation of 50 g of the roots on sieve. Second, by centrifuga- tion method using 200 g of soil. Nematodes obtained were killed by hot 6% formaline and then processed to glycerine. Permanent slides were determined to the species using keys. During this process there were obtained nematode species from which 12 belonged to ge- nus of fungivorous, 4 to genus of bacteriavorous and 38 to plant parasitic species. Ten of them are known as nematode vectors of plant viruses (GYFV, CLRV, TRV, AMV, SLRV, GLRaV-1, -2, -3, GVA, GVB, GVE, GFLV, GCMV, GrSPaV, GFkV, GRSPaV). Nematode fauna of vineyards needs broadly searching, especially nematode vectors of plant viruses, which are serious enemy to the vineyards. Studies on Aphelenchoides ritze- mabosi in vine plants disease complex are necessary. Key words: virus vectors, nematode fauna, Vitis L. INTRODUCTION Accession of Poland to the European Union and inclusion of the entire area of vine- yards to the zone A of European viticulture involved an annual increase of vineyard areas since 2005, which now establish over 1000 ha [Komorowska et al.

Aballay, and P. Hinrichsen. 2012. Morphological and molecular characterisation of Xiphinema index Thorne and Allen, 1950 (Nematoda: Longidoridae) isolates from Chile. Nematropica 42:41-47. Xiphinema index is a major plant parasitic nematode for vineyards, both as a root pathogen and as a vector for Grape Fanleaf virus. In Chile it has a wide distribution, causing considerable damage to Vitis vinifera. The main morphological and morphometric features that have been used for its identification are related to the vulval position and the presence of a mucro on the tail. However, these features have a limited discrimination capacity, as identification is more complicated in a highly complex matrix such as the soil, where a mixture of species coexists. This situation has motivated the search for and the application of molecular techniques with increased resolution power. This investigation shows the results of morphological and molecular characterization of X. index isolates from Chile. The complete ITS regions (ITS1 and ITS2) were sequenced revealing very low intraspecific diversity, less than 1% or the most divergent available sequences. This coincided with the low level of differences detected at the morphometric level.

The papers presented at the 8th Meeting of ICVG held at Bari in September 1984, which were included in the last report although they were published in 1985 (Phytopathologia Mediterranea 24) have not been mentioned again in the present document. As in previous bibliographic reports, references on Pierce's disease were entered although this disease is now known to be caused by a bacterium. Its inclusion in future bibliographies, however, will be discontinued. No attempt was made to discriminate between research papers, advisory publications intended for wine growers or popular accounts of the diseases caused by viruses or virus-like agents.

Introduction The nanotechnology industry is a rapidly developing segment of the world market and its importance is growing in many areas. This term refers to the use of materials in the nano (10-9) size range, i.e. between 1-100 nm in at least one dimension. The main purpose of nanotechnology is not to produce completely new materials or formulations, but to increase the efficiency of formulations by taking advantage of the beneficial properties of size. There are many examples of this benefit, among others in computer technology, medicine, and the production of cosmetics. Preparations made with this technology have already reached consumers, and their production will increase rapidly in the next decade. As a result, their release into the environment is unavoidable, but their impact on the environment and living beings is still largely unknown. Nanotechnology is one of the fastest-growing areas, therefore environmental toxicology research also attempts to focus on it. Many of the characteristic properties of nanomaterials are based on their high surface area/volume ratio, which is the reason why most of the atoms are located close to the surface.

  • Species of Longidorus, Paralongidorus and Xiphinema in Europe and in the Mediterranean Region
I Nematol. medit. (1983), 11: 49-72. I Istituto di Nematologia Agraria, C.N.R., Bari, Italy and Laboratory of Plant Nematology, Faculty of Biology, University of Sofia, Bulgaria LONGIDORIDAE FROM BULGARIA (NEMATODA, DORYLAIMIDA) WITH DESCRIPTION OF THREE NEW SPECIES OF LONGIDORUS AND TWO NEW SPECIES OF XIPHINEMA by F. LAMBERTI, BORYANA CHOLEVA and AUGUSTA AGOSTINELLI (1) Information on the presence of longidorid nematodes in Bulgaria are scanty and incomplete (Stoyanov, 1964; Choleva, 1975a, 1975b and 1976; Katalan-Gateva, 1980). Therefore, we thought it useful to report here the results of an extensive survey of species belonging to the family Longidoridae carried out in this country in the period 1972-1981, to contribute to the knowledge on the geographical distribution of species of Longidorus, Paralongidorus and Xiphinema in Europe and in the Mediterranean Region. MATERIALS AND METHODS Over 1000 soil samples were collected in different seasons from the rhizosphere of various cultivated and spontaneous plant species. Each sample consisted of 1 to 2 kg of soil, collected in fields, orchards and natural habitats from various districts of Bulgaria and kept in plastic bags. Nematodes were extracted by the Cobb wet sieve tech nique from aliquots of about 500 ml soil after mixing the whole sample. They were then fixed either in 5% hot formalin or TAF and processed to glycerin by the slow method. Permanent mounts, on nematology slides, were measured with the aid of a camera lucida. (1) The authors thank Mr. R. Lerario for assistance with the figures. - 49- RESULTS Four species of Longidorus, L. euonymus, L. distinctus sp.
