For the ones who liked this year’s Oscar “La La Land” and especially for those who haven’t seen the movie yet there’s a great chance to see it accompanied by symphony orchestra. Theatregoers are definitely should see the new Ilia Averbukh’s musical-on-ice “Carmen” as well as Nacho Duato version of the famous “Romeo and Juliet” ballet. The ones who like to learn and discover, should attend the biggest ever in Saint-Petersburg Salvador Dali exhibition. Also, don’t miss Manolo Blahnik “The Art of Shoes” exhibition, where you will be able to see both the sketches and the marvellous shoes. She moved to Los Angeles in 2010. She has released three albums and one EP. As a songwriter, she has written for Cher, Rihanna and Christina Aguilera, among others. Pergolizzi herself is a powerful rock singer, and she stays true to that on her new release “Lost on You,” following in the tradition of the likes of Chrissie Hynde, Chrissy Amphlett, Johnette Napolitano and Linda Perry. Like many earnest songwriters hellbent on love, Pergolizzi jams her fist in her chest and yanks out her heart on almost every song, making “Lost on You” intermittently overwhelming.     ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2020 PROGRAM NOTES Welcome to the NAMI Colorado 2020 Conference- we are so glad that you could join us! We want to give a special thanks to Luke White, PUSH Live, and VEEPS, for making this virtual conference happen. Also, a special thanks to all our presenters, (they all volunteered, so give them extra applause), we are so excited to share their work in mental health with you. The presentation runs on a linear stream. Your tickets to the daytime streams will be good for one month, so if you do not get a chance to watch everything this weekend, do not worry - you have a month to get back to anything! There is a tandem YouTube channel running alongside the conference, with many more classes and videos for you to enjoy- feel free to switch over at any time if something in the mainstream does not tickle your fancy. 2020 has been a challenging year- we are all feeling the strain of multiple global events that are impacting our day to day mental wellness. Furthermore, the isolation caused by COVID-19 has been a boon to some but has greatly diminished quality of life for others. At this moment in history, we need to care for the mental wellness of ourselves, our communities, and especially for those of us who have serious mental health conditions. Suicide is on the rise, Depression and anxiety too - the time is now to change the way we treat our brain health in America and throughout the world. You are that change - and we are so proud to assist you.

The CD is compiled from at least 3 different performances and while I found the sound to be adequate to mediocre, the quality of their material does seem to shine through. While I wouldn’t put the band in my own personal Top 10 of 1970’s rockers, they are pretty good. I think it is a shame I wasn’t musically aware in the 70’s because I probably would have liked the band. They’ve got a lively and energetic sound tied to that particular era and it does keep the ears engaged, even during the first half of the disc where the quality of the recording isn’t even as good as some bootlegs I’ve listened to over the years. The audio quality is the biggest problem I had with the entire disc. I think if you are going to reissue this type of album, you really need to make the sound more Official Site presentable than what a typical bootlegger could accomplish. You want to check out tracks like “Detroit Girls”, “Any Way That You Want It”, and “Cherry Baby” in particular, but surprisingly at least to me, each song is pretty good. Abstract approved:_____________________________________________________ Ryann Reynolds-McIlnay The rise of digital streaming has largely impacted the way the average listener consumes music. Consequentially, while the role of album art has evolved to meet the changes in music technology, it is hard to measure the effect of digital streaming on modern album art. This research seeks to determine whether or not graphic design still plays a role in marketing information about the music, such as its genre, to the consumer. It does so through two studies: 1. A computer visual analysis that measures color dominance of an image, and 2. A mixed-design lab experiment with volunteer participants who attempt to assess the genre of a given album. Findings from the first study show that color scheme models created from album samples cannot be used to predict the genre of an album. Further findings from the second theory show that consumers pay a significant amount of attention to album covers, enough to be able to correctly assess the genre of an album most of the time.

    Paul McCartney from Wings through the 90's McCartney II Columbia FC‐36511 May 21, 1980 About ten years after recording McCartney by himself, Paul got several songs together and recorded them‐‐again alone‐‐on somewhat of a lark. Then Paul embarked on his ill‐fated 1980 tour of Japan (which resulted in his being jailed for drug possession). After returning to the safety of his own home, he was urged to release the album, and he did. The album contrasts well with McCartney, for this second production contains numerous instruments and electronic tricks that were not present on the 1970 release. Side One is particularly interesting. The solo version of "Coming Up" is followed by the fun track, "Temporary Secretary" (released as a single in England). The almost‐lament, "On the Way," is then succeeded by "Waterfalls," Paul's second (US) single from the album. "Bogey Music," from Side Two, is also a standout. John Lennon heard a song from McCartney II and thought that Paul sounded sad. When the album was released in the US, a bonus one‐sided single ‐‐ the hit version of "Coming Up"‐‐was included with the LP. This hit was enough to propel the album to the #3 position on the charts, during a time when disco was now on the wane. "Waterfalls" Columbia 1‐11335 Jul. 22, 1980 The lovely ballad about protectiveness was one of the standouts from McCartney II. After "Coming Up," it received the most airplay and the most positive response from Paul's friends. As a single, though, the song fared poorly, only reaching #83...one of Paul's worst showings to date.
