Mr Kristof Kovacs - Piano Email: [email protected]
Mr Kovacs is a graduate of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. After being offered a scholarship, he spent three years at Illinois State Uni- versity where he received his Masters diploma. Following this he spent one year at Michigan State University participating in the doc- torate program. During his time studying he won the concerto com- petition at both universities. Kristof has extensive teaching experi- ence in the US and in Hungary.
Ms Fanni Sárközy- Piano Email: [email protected]
Ms. Sárközy is an internationally recognised , highly trained pianist, singer and music educator who is equally proficient in jazz and classical music. She graduated with honours at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary, with a major in piano in 2004. Whilst teaching piano at the Academy’s jazz faculty since 2007, Fanni also achieved international recognition as keyboard/vocalist and songwriter of the group Mizar. This is her first year teaching at BISB.
Mrs Andrea Borzsey - Piano

Mrs Borzsey is a graduate from the Liszt Academy of Music and has also studied with David Wilde in the UK. She used to play concerts as a soloist and accompa- nist. Whilst living in Algeria she played at French Culture Centers and for the English Societies in Annaba. She is the principal teacher at the Solti Music School and also teaches French. She has been teaching at BISB since 2006.

Mr Jászberényi obtained his degree at the Music College of Debrecen Universi- ty, Hungary. After that he continued his guitar studies in Athens with Mr. Costas Cotsiolis, a well-known virtuoso of the instrument. He has been teaching in BISB since 2005 and is also employed at the 9th District Music School, Budapest. Ex- perienced in ABRSM, and Rockschool exam boards with 100% performance.

Mr. Peter Nánási- Guitar Email: [email protected]
Mr Peter Nanasi is a graduate of the Music Studio of Kobánya. He has over 10 years of experience in teaching guitar. Peter is not just a teacher, he writes mu- sic for theatre plays and TV advertisements and he regularly plays on records as a studio session guitarist. With his bands, Peter plays rock, classical, jazz, and world music. He has been teaching in BISB since 2008.
Ms. Maureen Hollos– Violin

Ms.Hollos is a graduate of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. She used to play for the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra and currently plays in the Danubia Symphony Orchestra. She studied with professors Ferenc Halász, Vilmos Szabadi, Dénes Zsigmondy, Lorant Fenyves and Isaac Stern. Maureen started teaching at BISB in 1998.

Mr Mátyás Szabó is a graduate from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Buda-
pest. He has wide experience teaching drums and has worked in schools in Bu-
dapest and Kecskemet. He has participated in several performances of the Amadinda Percussion and the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra as well as several world music groups.
Mr. Zoltán Finok – Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Recorder Email: [email protected]
Mr Finok is a graduate of the Jazz Department at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music and has a diploma to teach clarinet from ABRSM. He is the band leader and arranger of the ensemble ‘Jazz Steps’ that regularly performs on National Radio and International Tours. He has been teaching students at BISB since 1999.

Mrs Urban is a graduate of Jazz Department at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music as a jazz singer and also has a diploma as a music teacher and choir conductor. She has been teaching jazz singing for 8 years in different schools. She is also the lead singer of the band ‘Jazz Steps’ and performs with other bands too. She has participated in many TV and radio programs and CD recordings.
