WORLD VISION ANNUAL I am very glad to take this opportunity to share PROGRESS DISSEMINATION with you the most interesting and important PROGRAMME events that JST Productions produced and managed through the last 6 months of 2019 on this edition. BIM IN NEPAL CONFERENCE 2019 The entire year was quite thrilling as JST Productions was awarded with many of the largest and the most challenging AI EXPO NEPAL 2019 events that took place in Nepal. Our teams enjoyed every PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP moment in welcoming one of the most iconic sports persons in the world - Sachin Tendulkar - in his first official visit to WORKSHOP Nepal. The teams also took the challenge of executing the Global WORKSHOP FOR TB-AFFECTED Launch of the Human Development Report 2019 in Nepal held HOUSEHOLDS IN NEPAL simultaneously in all 7 provinces encompassing 8 locations. TRIBUTE TO LEGENDS We are delighted to have had several occasions to establish and strengthen our relation with prominent organizations such as INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE UNICEF, UNDP, FICAC, HCCN, US State Department of ON WOMEN IN STEM Commerce to name a few in 2019. GADDI BAITHAK OPENS TO THE PUBLIC CONNECT WITH US NATIONAL JOINT ANNUAL REVIEW 2019 7th ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM IN NEPAL GLOBAL LAUNCH - HUMAN DEVELOPMENT REPORT 2019 IMPACT TB Consortium Meeting 6th July 2019 Park Village Resort B irat Nepal Medical Trust (BNMT Nepal) is a Nepalese non- governmental organization dedicated towards improving the health and well-being of Nepalese people. The main aspiration of the organization is to ensure equitable access to quality health care and enabling environment for socially and economically disadvantaged people. IMPACT TB is a project to find and treat cases of TB in communities in both Nepal and Vietnam. The project will test Ms. Maxine Caws - senior TB different implementation models to find the cheapest way to scale-up researcher at the Liverpool School active case finding of TB nationwide. of Tropical Medicine On 6th July 2019, BNMT Nepal organized the IMPACT TB Consortium meeting 2019 in Kathmandu to discuss achievement, challenges and learnings of the project in Vietnam and Nepal. The event had the active participation of Ministry of Health and Population, international IMPACT TB partners, and BNMT representatives from various NGOs and INGOs. The meeting brought various researchers, scientists, policy makers, development workers, TB patients and community people under the same roof to discuss achievements, challenges and learnings of the projects in their area. Adams Annual Progress Dissemination Programme 26th July 2019 Hotel Himalaya W orld Vision International Nepal is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to work with children and families of the vulnerable communities to overcome poverty and injustice. Since 2001, World Vision International (WVI) Nepal has been working for the well-being of children, partnering with communities, government bodies, private sectors and NGOs at the local level in some of the most remote areas in different districts of Nepal. Country Director Mr. Janes Ginting On 26th July 2019, World Vision International Nepal organized its Annual progress dissemination program at Hotel Himalaya to convene and present about the progress achieved and impacts in the past year in each of the districts that the organization is working in. With more than 200 attendees from all over Nepal including the donors, government officials, civil society organizations, community members, children and media, the event was filled with many inspiring stories and achievements from the people who have been working for the betterment of the campaign against child marriage for their respective sectors/districts. The event was also graced by Mr. Rajendra Kumar Paudel, Member Secretary at Social Welfare Council. Trimble Solutions is a globally recognized solution provider for different industries like Agriculture, Building Construction, Civil Engineering and Construction, Geospatial, Transportation, Government, Forestry, Rail, Field Service Management, Telecommunications, Electric and Water Utilities as well as many others. Chairperson of NBIMF Mr. Sunil Suwal On 2nd August 2019, NBIMF in collaboration with Trimble organized “BIM Conference in Nepal” at Radisson Hotel Kathmandu, in support of Department of Urban Development and Building Construction. The main objective of the event was to bring together different government bodies, decision makers, designers, contractors, consulting firms, and engineers to introduce, boost, and discuss BIM implementation process and its various benefits to the Nepalese built environment. The event raised awareness and encouraged government bodies, engineers, contractors and construction companies to explore the various benefits of BIM implementation in their projects ultimately benefiting the Nepalese AEC communities. JST Productions managed the BIM in Nepal conference in association with NBIMF. It is a leading provider of Artificial Intelligence software, solutions, and education programs. Artificial Intelligence for Development (AID) is research and development organization focusing on bringing applied Artificial Intelligence solutions to existing community problems. Mr. Sameer Maskey, Founder and CEO - Fusemachines With the objective to bring all the AI enthusiasts and stakeholders together, Fusemachines together with AID, organized the country’s first ever AI Expo. The event, AI Expo 2019, was the first and the biggest expo targeting Artificial Intelligence with more than 2000 attendees. Honorable Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Giriraj Mani Pokharel was present as the distinguished Chief Guest of the event. Other than the objective to bring all the AI enthusiasts together, the AI Expo 2019 also aimed to bring together industry and academia (professionals and learners) to discuss opportunities and challenges in the Hon’ble Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, industry with practical and ethical solutions to the challenges. Bergen Public Private Partnership 9th - 13th September 2019 Hotel Radisson C LDP is a division of the U.S. Department of Commerce that helps achieve U.S. foreign policy goals in developing and post- conflict countries through commercial legal reforms. Public-private partnerships (PPPs) are tools that help governments leverage the expertise and efficiency of the private sector, raise capital, Ms. Lindsey Scannell - Attorney and spur development. - Advisor From 9th of September to 13th of September CLDP: Commercial Law Development Program organized series of workshops on Public Private Partnership (PPPs) in partnership with the Investment Board of Nepal (IBN) and the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu. The three-day workshop was attended by government leaders, parliamentarians and the members of the media. The workshop covered the process of understanding, implementing projects and competitively tendering PPPs and evaluating bids. For the workshop CLDP drew experts from the Illinois Department of Transportation’s PPP Office, the Port of Tampa, and the leading Florida law firm on PPPs. Mr. Lee A.
