Lashes and Brows Care Instructions

Eyelash Perming Care Instructions Eyelash perming is a great way to achieve the curl you’ve always dreamed of that eyelash curlers and even heated eyelash curl- ers won’t give you the same results. Eye lash perming is much like perming your , except in a smaller dosage and application to make it safe for your eyes. A patch test is required 48 hours prior to application to ensure solution sensitivity. Patch test can be applied on arm or back of neck and can be done during consultation. When perming eyelashes, a client who wears contacts should come in wearing glasses or bring a pair to wear after. Contacts cannot be worn during procedure and cannot be put back in until 24 hours after procedure. Client should not get eyelashes wet for 24 hours so that solution can fully develop. If they do get wet, perming process will not reach full effect and can lose most or all of curl. Client can take a shower or a bath but a dry wash- cloth should be put over eyes to avoid water from hitting eyelashes. should last 1-2 months depending on how lash takes to perm. Example: straight downward positioned lashes may need to be repermed sooner that someone who already has a slight curve to their lash due to how the natural lash grows out.

Eyelash and Tinting Care Instructions Eyelash and eyebrow tinting is ideal for those who have naturally light eyelashes or , who have a hard time keeping mascara on from daily activities, who would like their eyebrows to match their hair color, and for those already have dark eyelashes but would like to add a glossy finish and not have to wear mascara. A patch test is required 48 hours prior to application to ensure solution sensitivity. Patch test can be applied on arm or back of neck and can be done during consultation. Contacts cannot be worn during procedure and cannot be put back in until the next day. If clients have sensitive eyes, eye drops or saline solution can be applied after service. Recommended eye drops: “Blink” or “Blink-n-Clean” (can be purchased at Walgreens or Wal-Mart). The color is a vegetable based color so it is safe to be close to the eyes. The color will last about 6 weeks, and can be applied every 4-6 weeks. Client should avoid oil based moisturizers, washes and any oil based face products for it will break down the tint faster. It is perfectly fine and safe to take a shower after tinting. Clients can still wear mascara if they choose, but they probably will not need to. Skin underneath eyebrows may be stained darker for a day or two due after application to color, but will not be permanent! Color is not meant to stay on skin so any staining will not last.

Eyelash Extensions Care Instructions will last 2-5 weeks, and it is recommended that they get refilled every 3 weeks to ensure that at least 50% of lashes are there so that refill price can be charged instead of full set. It will take about 1 ½-3 hours to apply the set depending on the amount the client chooses to get. Extensions are applied with a medical grade adhesive. A patch test of adhesive should be done 48 hours before application. Patch test can be applied to arm or the back of the neck and can be done during consultation. Client should avoid oil based moisturizers, face washes and any oil based face products for it will break down the adhesive faster. With eyelash extensions client should not get extensions wet for 48 hours to allow the adhesive to fully set. When showering or bathing during the first 48 hours, client should put a dry washcloth over the eyes to avoid any water getting on the extensions. Clients are advised to avoid rubbing eyes or using product (like mascara) that is not formulated from the NaturaLash line. Doing so will cause the eyelashes to fall out prematurely.

EXTRA NOTES A client can get both eyelash perming and tinting done but the tinting should be done first with 1 week in between one another. If a client would like to get extensions as well as a perm or tint processes then it should be 1 week after the perm or tint. Example situation: If a client wants tinting and eyelash extensions, the tinting should be done one week prior to the eyelash ex- tensions. At the 6 week mark of refills (the 2nd refill) if the client wants tinting again then all extensions will have to be removed, then natural eyelashes will be tinted and then the following week eyelash extensions can be put back on. Full price of lash extensions (not refill price), lash removal, and tinting will be charged for that process.
