If you’re interested in serving as a campground host, contact the Wood County Parks and Forestry Office.

Firewood and ice can be purchased at the camp ranger cabin during posted times. In the absence of the camp ranger, other park staff will be there to sell these items. Holiday weekends and State Water Ski Show times can be very busy times for park employees. Please be considerate of them. 6

The forest is pri- marily in the Southwest portion of the county. Wood County for- est is open for hunting, fishing, wildlife watching and most forms of non-consumptive recreation. The forest is especially popular for deer, grouse and turkey hunt- ing, and provides opportunities to see a variety of wildlife making their home in central and north- ern Wisconsin. Nepco Lake County Park was donated in 1977 by Park Entrance Nekoosa Papers, Inc. as a day use park. It is located )"Z 1 mile south of Wisconsin Rapids on STH 13 (enter on Griffith Avenue, CTH Z). The park is 125 acres 1410 Griffith Avenue and is located on the 494 acre Nepco Lake.
