Peugeot Triumferer I Dakar Rally 2018 PRESSEMEDDELELSE Januar 2018 Peugeot triumferer i Dakar Rally 2018 Efter 8793 kilometer sandbanker, bjergpas, klippefyldte spor og flere farefulde situationer gennem Peru, Bolivia og Argentina sikrede Team Peugeot Total sig en historisk sejr i Dakar Rally 2018 med Carlos Sainz/ Lucas Cruz bag rattet af 3008DKR Maxi. Det var den tredje sejr i træk for Team Peugeot Total i verdens mest krævende rally, og sejren afspejler på smukkeste vis den kommercielle succes for 3008 SUV. Comeback for ”El Matador” Carlos Sainz og Lucas Cruz har været uheldige ved de sidste tre Dakar Rally, men i 2018 kom den spanske duo tilbage på den stærkest mulige måde. De kørte et overbevisende rally fra starten og demonstrerede både et højt præstationsniveau og vedholdenhed bag rattet af 3008 DKR Maxi no. 303. Duoen vandt prøve 6 og 7 og da de kørte over målstregen i Cordoba, var det med en føring på 43min40s ned til den nærmeste rival, Nasser Al Attiyah/Matthieu Baumel. Carlos Sainz om sejren: ”Det var et meget svært rally for mig. Det er formentlig det sværeste Dakar Rally, jeg nogensinde har deltaget i, selv medregnet dem i Afrika. Arrangørerne havde sørget for en virkelig udfordrende rute med mange utroligt svære hastighedsprøver. Selv de to prøver lige inden mål var ufattelige og Peru var også ekstremt tricky. Det er selvfølgelig en stor tilfredsstillelse for Lucas og jeg at vinde så svært et rally. Og det samme gælder hele Peugeot-teamet, som har gjort et fantastisk arbejde gennem hele forløbet. PEUGEOT 3008 DKR Maxi er nok den bedste bil, jeg nogensinde har kørt til et rally raid. Tak til alle, der har støttet os i dette projekt og en kæmpe tak til PEUGEOT Sport.” En fantastisk afslutning PEUGEOT Sport Director, Bruno Famin, ”Peugeot slutter sin deltagelse i Dakar på den bedst mulige måde takket være den fantastiske sejr, som Carlos Sainz og Lucas Cruz har givet os i PEUGEOT 3008DKR Maxi. Carlos har lagt så meget i vores Dakar projekt helt fra starten, så det er fantastisk at se ham blive belønnet på denne måde. Tre ud af vores fire biler gennemførte årtiets sværeste rally og PEUGEOT 3008DKR Maxi viste sin overbevisende tekniske kunnen med et helt fejlfrit rally. Herudover begynder forberedelserne til de kommende elektriske Rallycross mesterskaber i 2020, hvor planerne er at stille med en elektrisk version af 208. .

In the 296-kilometre special stage, the MINI John Cooper Works Rally pairing Jakub ‘Kuba’ Przygonski (POL) / Tom Colsoul (BEL) secured ninth place, two positions ahead of Boris Garafulic (CHI) and Filipe Palmeiro (POR) in a second MINI JCW Rally. Orlando Terranova / Bernardo ‘Ronnie’ Graue (both ARG) came 16th. While Joan ‘Nani’ Roma and Alex Haro (both ESP) had an accident at the very end of the stage and were forced into retirement. By finishing ninth in another difficult stage, Przygonski secured 11th position in the overall standings. “The sun was shining virtually vertically from the sky and therefore, seeing anything in the dunes was nearly impossible,” revealed the young Pole. “Furthermore, we were stopped by a puncture but changing the tyre did not take us a lot of time. Later we hit a rock in a riverbed but this incident had no consequences.” Following yesterday’s bad luck – the collision with their team-mates – Boris Garafulic (CHI) and Filipe Palmeiro (POR) had a clearly better day, today. “We completed the stage without encountering any problems,” said the Chilean. Unfortunately we had to witness when we reached the finish that Nani had an accident.” Meanwhile, Terranova and Graue had anything but a good day. “We got lost several times and in addition we had to change a damaged tyre,” Terranova said annoyed.

Elmshorn, 4th of January 2021 – Yesterday, on 3rd of January, Jakub “Kuba” Przygonski from Warsaw (Poland) and Timo Gottschalk from Neuruppin (Germany) started this year's Dakar Rally in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia once again as a well-rehearsed team – this time in a 2021 Toyota Hilux. The rally distance of 7643 kilometres, of which 4767 kilometres are special stages, will be an opportunity for them to put all of their skills to the test. The Dakar Rally has found a new home in Saudi Arabia, after being held there for the first time last year. While the 2020 competition could be described as an initial journey of discovery, the 2021 route will be a far more challenging exploratory tour. The stages will feature a number of sand and dune stretches, as well as very rocky tracks, which will push the drivers to their limits. The roadbook will also be handed out minutes before the start of the rally, in order to test the co-drivers' navigation skills to the extreme. In return, the number of high-speed passages has been significantly reduced, and there is even a speed limit of 90 km/h for particularly dangerous passages.     Peugeot 3008 DKR: nuovi artigli per la Dakar 2017 Per sfoggiare immagine e muscoli da rally-raid, il team sportivo del Leone ha preparato quest’anno la nuova Peugeot 3008 DKR 2017. La “belva” da competizione è una visione estrema del nuovo SUV 3008 (il suo lancio commerciale è previsto dopo il Salone di Parigi). L’indole rabbiosa ad alte prestazioni della 3008 DKR è assai evidente e allo stesso tempo riesce a mantenere una certa eleganza. Anche per la scelta minimalista delle decorazioni: nero, grigio e qualche tocco di rosso esaltano l’aspetto techno, soprattutto nella vista di 3/4 posteriore. Ad ogni modo, spiccano la cellula nera “Black Diamond” e le varie prese d’aria. Dal padiglione la modanatura mette in risalto la linea di cintura e i fianchi possenti con i pneumatici All-Terrain T/A della BFGoodrich. Ai lati trovano posto, visibili, anche le ruote di scorta, come ben visibile è la firma della Red Bull, sponsor insieme a Total. Un’evoluzione, quella della 3008, artisticamente rappresentata dalla breve “spray story” del video. Peugeot 3008 DKR: nuovi artigli per la Dakar 2017 Quanto alla tecnica, Peugeot Sport si è concentrata parecchio sulle sospensioni (geometria e ammortizzatori), ovviamente per adattare il loro comportamento a sollecitazioni impietose, quindi sul raffreddamento e sul contenimento del peso della vettura, a bilanciare la presenza dei rinforzi nonché all’utilizzo di un impianto di climatizzazione, che sarà assai apprezzato dagli equipaggi. Un grande protagonista è il motore e la sua preparazione, innanzitutto per gli adattamenti richiesti dal nuovo regolamento FIA, che per i veicoli a 2 ruote motrici motorizzati Diesel riduce il diametro della flangia di strozzatura dell’aria da 39 a 38 mm, il che costa una perdita di circa 20 cavalli.

The same car and drivers came in third in the T1.3 petrol 2-wheel drive class in the January 2019 Dakar Rally. This year the team will again compete in the T1.3 class.
