I< . HESSION. I TO: Board of Management. FROM: Junior Organiser-Coordinator•~ ·>; ~~' ~ g8th..£F,~~:cy~ 19,72 ~' ~ 1 ·~ i"f ·~. 1 <iHt ' . - SUBJECT: Proposed New District, with a RecoIDJllendation the area be given to Pennant Hills Club for developmental purposes, as their P~1111~qn~ ~g~d~:!te ~.~ .~ ~.·it ~ <l; ~ ,If. Having in mind the future development of the Code, I am firmly of the opinion Pennant Hills Club will in the near future be promoted to first Gzade status, and I feel the Club should commence now to bring about the very necessary building of District School & Junior Competitionsi and not wait un.til the Club firstly obtains First Grade status•' Already definite signs are seen which clearly indicates the Code is about to advance, and it is sign.ifica*t that up to 5 Sports Clubs are showing an extreme interest, coupled with the format ion of a Zoned Primary School Competition scheduled to cmmmence this Season.' Having .in mind the Parent League Clubs offer to allocate a portion of it's boun.daries(Balmain) to Pennant Hills Club, and of the feature that to .date no Junior Players are inclined to go to Balmain Club from Pennant Hil ls, and that at least 2-3 new teams are in evidence with Pennant Hills, it is definitely unfair to ask Balm.ain Club to meet the 1/3 cost of guernseys, and all costing incurred must be met by Pennant Hills Club.' Pennant Hills Club is considered to be a most progressive body , and is a Club which is anxious to make further progress, and .is most keen to develop the area indicated hereunder {and as proposed by Club Officials) . 1 " From Brook:ljllon Hawkwsbury River to proposed extension of expressway through Ku.r-ring-ai Chase to Hornsb~ and to Railway between Waitara and Wahroonga Station tWoonona Avenue}, continue along WEST SIDE of Railway to Turramurra Station, then down to Kissing Point Road (Balmain Club area) to Lane Cove River.' WEST along River valley to Devlins Creek, under Northern Railway line under Beecroft Road along Devlins Creek to Plymton Road and it·ts continuation North Rocks Road to Royal Deaf & Blind Institute along Barclay Road to proposed Western Distributor which crosses Windsor Road at Junction Road and continues along Distributor to Old Windsor Rpad and then to Hawkesbury River at Windsor and back to Brooklyn along Rivertt · ~~ The area qumted above, with the exception of that portion whioh Balmain Club is willing to cede to Pennant Hills Club, is not serviced by any Cltlb and even now players for. Pennant Hills are drawn from the areas of Pennant Hills, Hogans Hill, castle Hill, Baulkham Hills and outerlying areas as contained in the proposed boundaries; To further assist with the aims of the Club I would advise, I am mos t • anxio~ over a terr itory such as this being wide open to other Codes, and I7"ery keen to close an open gate alongside the western boundaries of the Blacktown area, and then proceed with a further plan to then close . up a gap which is most evident inside the boundaries of BaJmain , Blacktown! Southern Districts and Western Suburbs, which at pres~t is unalotted.· Arthu~itlgewater. J unior Organiser/ Coordinator.
