The reduced costs of €461 (9%) in administration expenses derives mainly from Address Book costs being €541 down, travel expenses with a €222 reduction, and storage costs lower by €180 offset by increases in AGM (€197), Newsletter (€125) and general costs (€164). Total other income at €4,958 is running €1,500 lower than 2018 and includes reduced Newsletter sponsorship of €540 and function income being €973 lower. It is anticipated that much of this will be recovered in the second half of the year. Welfare costs so far have totalled €1,474 compared to €888 at this stage in 2018 reflecting the sudden and non-foreseeable nature of this type of expense. We have made no loans so far in 2019. Our Welfare Co-ordinator, Pauline Holloway, strongly backed up by Chris Gaskell, continues to work on a series of cases, some of which might require significant funding in the future, as well as the invaluable help and advice that they always provide including currently carte de sejour application assistance. We have the Vendange Lunch in September, the Christmas Lunch and various other social events in these last few months of 2019 and because we do not know what calls may be made on our welfare funds, it is vital that we continue to receive your strong support, help and contributions for all this year's remaining events.
