One Year, Four New Tyres. Dunlop Leads in Hypersport Tyre Development One year, four new tyres. Dunlop leads in hypersport tyre development. Dunlop has youngest and most innovative hypersport range. SportSmart TT is fourth new Dunlop Hypersport tyre in one year Uses FIM Endurance World Championship winning technology The addition of the Dunlop Sport Smart TT to the tyre manufacturer’s portfolio gives Dunlop the youngest and most innovative range in the hypersport sector. The SportSmart TT is the fourth new Dunlop hypersport tyre to be launched in the past year and completes the strategy, announced last year, of taking a new approach to the segment. Dunlop chose to redefine their hypersport range around the goal of a ‘tyre for every rider’. The launch of the SportSmart TT marks Dunlop’s comeback to a segment of the hypersport market where they last competed with the renowned Qualifier RR over a decade ago. Dunlop has the youngest and most innovative hypersport range. This intensive year of launches shows Dunlop’s focus on developing new technologies. We have taken the time to listen to the needs of riders. This has helped us define a range that proves we understand the subtly varying needs of the different types of hypersport rider. In some cases, the bikes may be the same, but the type and mix of riding may be very different. Our new range gives riders the choice they need to ensure they have a tyre that exactly matches their needs” commented Dmitri Talboom, Product Manager, Dunlop Motorcycle Europe. While some manufacturers are lobbying for tires to be replaced as soon as the tread depth reaches 3 or 4 mm, Michelin, the world’s leading tire company, maintains that the current legal limit of 1.6 mm is perfectly suited to the challenges of modern motoring. Michelin markets tires that ensure optimum safety throughout the tire’s longer lifespan, and save fuel due to limited rolling resistance. This is the only way of limiting excessive raw material consumption and carbon dioxide emissions, whilst allowing motorists to use their tires longer in total safety. Michelin’s winter tires, such as the Pilot Alpin with its full-depth 3D sipes or the MICHELIN CrossClimate, a summer tire also approved for winter use in regions where winter tires are mandatory, guarantee maximum effectiveness right down to the statutory minimum of 1.6 mm. Michelin reaffirms its opposition to a change in the legislation on this matter, for four reasons: 1–Safety • Current legislation, which dates back to 1989, was based on performance levels at the time.

Where sponsorship deals have not been reported, the Sponsorship Today team actively seeks data through web searches, annual financial reports and contacting sponsors, agencies and rights holders. Most sponsorship deals are not reported and, of those that are, the majority do not provide accurate fee or duration data. IMR estimates unreported fee values through comparisons with similar deals, contacts with industry insiders and through its long experience of creating sponsorship analysis reports. There is no guarantee of accuracy of estimates. The sponsorship industry is also known to overstate sponsorship fee values. Such reports are frequently based on the maximum potential value of a deal and might include the total should all incentive clauses (such as sporting success) be met and no morality clauses invoked.
