From Chalabre, take the D16 signed for Puivert. After about 7km, look out for a picnic place on your right. Take the second drive on your left after the picnic place – signed “Green Horizons/Horizons Verts”. If you reach Puivert Village you have missed the turning. There is plenty of parking at the top of the drive.
From Quillan, turn right onto the ‘Route de Foix’ D117 which leads to Puivert. Follow the road for 17 km as it weaves up the mountain, pass through Nébias village and on to Puivert. When you reach Puivert turn right onto ‘Route de Chalabre’ D16 (signposted to Chalabre). We are about 500m on the right. Follow our drive up to the house. There is plenty of parking onsite. Horizons Vert has chickens, rabbits and cats, so is not a suitable venue for people with allergies to animals.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead, please.
Tea, coffee, and other refreshments will be provided. What to Bring
Lunch will be a shared picnic, please bring something share: salad, bread, cheese, fruit, etc.
