Antique Roses, Old , Older Classifications, and Species Roses Antique Roses include those classifications in existence prior to the first Hybrid Tea in 1867. They are known for their history, old-fashioned charm, fragrance, hardiness and vigor. Some are rebloomers, but many have a very long single bloom period in early summer.
